They use an 50mm lens, with 5 Mp sensor, and focus distance are minum at 3 - 10 cm. Add gcam and astrophotography to it, you can take stunning night macro shots of subject that doesn't move. You can even take portraits on gcam with the macro cam. You can also record a video on it, which is functional.

Later, if add the telephoto, the price increase. And then everyone started to comparing with other/older device ? Suddenly everyone think its overpriced.

Instead of using lower quality ultrawide, zoom, macro just give us an incredible main camera. 99% of people use only the main camera. I never use the ultrawide on my phone. Instead of wasting resources on ultrawide, zoom, use the resources in R&D of main camera to make it close to old SLRs.

Currently, Realme Gt and Poco F3 is hell a lot better than the crappy Oneplus Nord CE that has too much hype. Also, slightly better in terms lf overall package to price ratio than the original Nord. With Oneplus, you just get better software looks, software updates, and better main cameras (only on original Nord), the rest is pretty much in a different league with the Oneplus Nord and Nord CE looking like it belongs to another year (which it surely is)

For me , the realme x2 pro us a better value. The best flagship of realme with optical zoom and better display ( brightness, contrast)

the raised brightness seems high to me, because in the sun the screen of my realme 7 pro was more visible than the GT. Without doubt the anti-glare of the GT is bad.

i am wildly impressed by these OEM's giving such great features at a low price. the 400EUR-200EUR is wildly competitive now, arguably more than the upper midrange category

You should compare it with the iQOO 7 or 7 Legend depending on your market. The one with 888.

Wait you already sneaked in the performance figures for X7 Max, noice!
But I'm slightly confused as to why it underperforms in some benchmarks, getting beaten by even the D1000+ and 865🤷🏻♂️
Also will realme ever put together a proper successor to the X2 Pro?
bcoz it's got screen (brighter in auto and HDR vs paltry 650nits on the GT-it should've been at least 800+), cameras (3 proper but still w/o OIS), build (metal) + GG5 front & back, probably slightly better speakers and ofc 3.5mm jack.

I am sick of seeing so called "macro lenses" in smartphones. no dedicated macro lens is a macro lens in smartphones. manufacturers are just fooling people with one more lens at the back with no purpose. macro shots are not supposed to be captured from 3cm distance. macro shots are captured with 55-80mm lenses with zooming in from a reasonable distance to fit the subject to the frame and blur the background. a proper tele lens is the way to shoot a macro in a smartphone.

In the review the audio rate bit is impressive but the sound quality of the videos are not so good, muffled!

Wait wait in the "software and performance" section you mentioned
"Few games, if any, will use 100% of the SD888 and games like Asphalt, Dead Trigger 2, Ace Combat and Call of Duty ran fine for hours, and we did not notice any obvious throttling."
Ace Combat?! There's an Ace Combat for android?! Somebody confirm this for me! I've only been using emulation for Ace Combat. No idea an AC game existed for android.
Only explanation I can think of is it is region locked to the US or EU like most good games.
