      Vivo still the best for hi res quad bayers. I would lock down this mode if I made such bad processing, what's the point of getting ridiculed.
      I would also exchange 5mp macro and 5mp depth for 10mp IR camera.

Most of the people around me have side FP scanners and none of their frames broken, most of them even mount their phone on their MTB handlebars during our mountain biking and none of those phones have frame-related issue. On the other hand, UD FP scanners has lots of failure points i.e. tempered glass issue, relatively higher failure rates (most implementations were just the shitty optical) and slow (relative to capacitive side fp scanners), these issues aren't even intentional nor caused by stress tests, just a normal smartphone use.

                    If it did not have an OLED screen then I would buy it, but it has an OLED screen that cause headache... because it use PWM, screen flickering at low frequency, to reduce screen brightness!

                      Anonymous, 14 Aug 2021I was going to buy it until I saw that it has the under dis... moreI hear you and I have similarly siffered with the "ultrasonic" scanner on my S21 Ultra, but this has a typical optical fingerprint scanner, which is much faster and reliable. I got this for my wife and it works much, much better than the scanner on my S21 Ultra. So if this is the only reason for you not to buy the phone, think again because it is a non-issue due to the different type of scanner utilised on the A52 5G, like most of the "A" series phones.

                        Anonymous, 14 Aug 2021I was going to buy it until I saw that it has the under dis... moreThis is a good point for the phone that the fingerprint is under the display screen and not in the power button because if it is on the side, this makes the size of the power button large in the narrow frame, which weakens the frame of the device and becomes easy to bend and break
                        This can be clearly seen in the YouTube bend test for phones

                          I was going to buy it until I saw that it has the under display fingerprint reader. Not interested in having to experience this nightmare ever again. I know a ton of people who refuse to buy Samsung phones now because of the horrible implementation of this half-baked technology. What's wrong with having a side fingerprint reader?

                                      Dometalican, 14 Aug 2021You guys aren't wrong about the price but you have to ... moreThat's because even before trade sanctions, companies had realised that america is NOT a vital market to serve, if only HTC and some others had realised the same thing ten years ago, compromising phones towards americans costs more sales elsewhere than it gains in America.
                                      Only 400m,out of market of about 4 billion,me, I'd ignore America.

                                        You guys aren't wrong about the price but you have to understand (in a similar manner to the OnePlus N10 5G), this is one of the only like 4 mid-rangers we have in the US. The Xperia 10 is here but this is better. Then there's TCL (no one talks about those phones) and that's it. No LG, no Realme, no Xiaomi/Redmi, no Meizu, no Vivo, nothing.
