My friends own the device and it is still one of the best there is (even though it is a midrange device). If you don't own the device I would advise you to check out some reviews around. Some manufacturers do smoothen the photos to get rid of them but it also removes details from the photos. But it all can be arranged in post-processing. What you cannot do though, is turn bad picture to good

The camera quality is simply terrible at best. The night shots are horrendous. Lack of detail and full of noise.

[deleted post]Dude, this is a product. You can like it or f# off. I think you should choose the latter.

All the phones you described are not even on par with how "all-in-one" this phone is. They all have better properties but they don't have all.

And if you think that owning a phone with SD888+ will make you clever or do your work faster, then you are just a puppet who believes and thinks he needs to buy the NEW one every time there is a new announcement.

        End of discussion.

But do post please :D We looove your messages here. There is already 4 of your messages printed in our office with emoticons all over. You are the best mate ;)

The problem is, no manufacturer wants too spend money on cooling copper dual, double Chambers, every CPU needs air vents and cooling, it's very idiotic too seal the phone, orrlse the S888 is very powerful Soc.
Even s865 is very good. If you download a app called cpu manager, it shows all cores running at what speed,
Hardly the cpu stays at 70 too 100% everytime, threshold at below 60%.
They should use carbon fibre inside the phone or titanium too cool temperature sustained, even at high or max load it won't get hot or throttling.

Blame the bldy manufacturer not using proper materials and blaming snapdragon.
Same happened with S810, powerful chip.

Btw I forgot to mention 1 thing in my previous comment, if Google sticked to Snapdragon with Pixel 6 then it would be wiser to skip SD888, that chip has too many issues in my opinion (battery hungry and throttling in most if not all phones at some point).

But that is a issue Qualcomm created, reminds met of SD810 but actually worse, let's hope the next Snapdragon SoC will be much better, I even consider to skip getting a new phone this year because of the 888 (and I have no interest in iPhones, otherwise that would could be a option)

Great camera, stock android and that is all to it, but the price never reflected that.

I miss the Nexus days, especially 4 and 5 which had actually some serious cons, but the price reflected that.

Pixels were always "meh" in my opinion for what Google asked for them, and Pixel 5 is the pinnacle of being too expensive for it's own good.

Here you are kid, English, grammar, structure,
sentences, and dialect and prounaction, prepositions, predicate, and compound complex.Perhaps for someone on a strict budget who has bought a phone like the OnePlus Nord, a Mi 10 Lite, or a Realme X50 for $300-400, this is acceptable. But around $700, Google is playing with phones that use the full-fat Snapdragon 865 like the Galaxy S20 FE and OnePlus 8T, and they're simply much more performant. And that's not even mentioning the new iPhone 12 and 12 Mini, which would absolutely run laps around a Snapdragon 865, let alone Google's mid-tier silicon here. If you don't care about all this, that's fine — I am not here to convince you of what you do or don't need. But on the comparative benchmark of performance, the Pixel 5 doesn't just fall flat, it faceplants. Switching to budget silicon without a price to reflect that was a mistake, one that's crystal clear when you realize Google used the same chip in the far cheaper 4a 5G.

ithehappy, 09 Sep 2021It's called being illiterate, inability of spelling ba... moreI'd like to tackle two things. First: the Pixel 5 is very noticeably slower than the Pixel 4. There's no arguing it, I can easily see it in day to day use. The Pixel 4 is smoother, faster, and gets hung up when doing multitasking far less frequently (something benchmarking clearly bears out: the 855 may be a year old, but it ain't slow). We're also discussing a phone I've used a lot in the last year — I know what I'm talking about here. The Pixel 5 is plenty fast... for something I might expect to pay $400 or maybe $500 for. But, $700? Sorry, no sale. The second thing is a legitimate, everyday concern for a lot of people: games. The Snapdragon 765G may well be branded as a "gaming" chip, but its performance chops in this regard are meant to compare favorably to, say, a 600 series Snapdragon chip — not an 800 series. For example, the Pixel 5 can run Fortnite — one of the most demanding games on Android — as can all Snapdragon 765G phones, but it really shouldn't. Maintaining a steady 30FPS is near impossible on even the lowest graphic settings, with hard jolts a constant issue during play.

                                On my S21ultra 16gb ram, I get 70fps vs 30 , lmfao...

The snapdragon 845 even blows this out off water, let alone the 855. It's on par with 835

                                🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 lmfao.

Chipset Say what you will, but this is a noticeably slower phone than even last year's Pixel 4. A Snapdragon 765 doesn't belong in a $700 phone.
Regressions Worse performance, slower camera processing, no face unlock, no telephoto camera, worse haptics. I'm not thrilled.
Competition There are far more powerful phones available around this price point, like the OnePlus 8T and Galaxy S20 FE.
Colors and storage Two colors, one storage configuration. That's pretty weak, Google.

Uea really snapdragon 7 series vs 855, or 845 smashed it, blows it.

                                  Overpriced, underspeced. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

A slower chipset, the lack of face unlock, a missing telephoto camera lens, and cost cuts on components like haptics make it a bizarre case of this year's phone being worse in very material ways than last year's. And yes, it also improves: the Pixel 5 has more RAM (8GB), more storage by default (128GB), 5G (arguably useless in the US), and a battery that just goes and goes. These are all pretty good things (especially that last one)! But once you consider the price of this phone — $700 here in the US — the things you give up just cut too far in the wrong direction for me.

                                      This takes time.

You're meant too focus on the related subject, we are not taking about English and writing.

Google pixel is plain vanilla Android. That's like buying a Mercedes or Bentley with no features. Lmao. Samsung is fully loaded with specs, power and torque.
You wish you had all the features off Samsung in pixel phone, but you can't, because it's plain boring, dull and featureless.
Like driving a car with mo cruise control, or triptronic gears or Xenon light. Also having a air conditioner, but there's no thermostat too control the settings. Lmfao... yea really.
Even with all these features, Samsung phones are still on par with pixel.

Don't insult me, but instead focus on the subject and post.
