Apple iPhone 13 review

Ngl, the new iPhone's daylight photo quality seems to be much better than before. I have to pixel peep at 100% zoom to see any of Apple's usual oversharpening effects, but it's hard to find one. I only see it in lowlight conditions. This really got me wondering how the iPhone 13 Pro/13 Pro Max camera with a brand new main camera and the new A15 chipset will fare.
P.S Are the daylight photos shot with Smart HDR ON or Deep Fusion ON?

No company is coming close to replicating the performance/efficiency of their CPU cores and now their GPUs are killing the competition as well. They are basically miles ahead of the best designs from ARM, which SOC makers like Qualcomm, Samsung and MediaTek base their SOC designs on. The only way these SOC makers can catch up is to ditch generic ARM cpu/gpu designs and implement their own custom cores and GPUs which Qualcomm and Samsung are reportedly going to do. But even then it'll take years to perfect their design in a bid to take down Apple.

[deleted post]Power to do what, exactly? iOS has better apps, including better games and productivity tools, it has a uniformity between the different cameras that's unheard of on the Android side, and it has arguably better processing power. I actually use an Android for work and pretty much as a daily driver, but the stupidity and ignorance of some Android fannies is getting really annoying.

Anonymous, 02 Oct 2021Lol, still stuck in 2016 with that ancient 60Hz RR😆😆😆They keep this at 60hz to push buyers towards buying the more profitable Pro models. It also helps with battery life which is not great even though it's still 60hz.

Otherwise, the 13 is pretty much the 12 Pro Max in a smaller package so if you like normal size phones, the 13 is the way to go.

XS series literally only had a brighter screens and slightly better cameras

The new iPhone 13 was producing the "same" results as iPhone 12 but at lowered ISO settings. Could be handy in low light situations. However, the details in iPhone 13 night photos are completely obliterated, which is a shame. Really bad.

My sub-$400 mediatek phone takes much better night-time photos with GCam (just wish OIS was present to help, but sadly it is still rare in that price-segment)

I just reread the review and it feels rus... morewell, ofc when you pay so much for a damn phone, who wouldn't nitpick, even the $300-400 get most of the basics right, but obv these high-end phones need to be looked at with more scrutiny, except if it's bleeding edge like the Fold and then it can be cut some slack
