Even worse battery life vs the LTPO-less Xperia 1 iii. BBK STILL hasn't figured out how to use the tech correctly. That's...crazy.

70P+ deals better with neon signs and light bulbs compared to 60P+. Texture at night is bit better. Daylight photos are equal.

It's hard to tell whether this new model has better camera performance than the X60 Pro+ since there is no comparison between the two. Eventually, I have to resort to photo samples from the X60 Pro+ review taken in April. I do notice that the oversharpening effect on this new model has been toned down a little. It's still there, but not as bad as before.
If there's one thing that really took me by huge surprise, it's the battery endurance rating. By right, that LTPO screen should give better battery life than the X60 Pro+. Samsung has proved just how efficient it can be in terms of battery life. But seven hours lower than the previous model? Something's not right there.

Gladly vivo does not abuse sharpening like i am sure pixel 6 is gonna do

Manual is just to make sure it uses settings chosen.
Nothing else changes.
Would be nice if they provide raw files.

That shiny glass piece beside the rear cameras seems to be completely unnecessary and a rather poor way to make it a more premium looking device. Vivo be like, if the Xiaomi 11 Ultra has something next to the cameras, then our phone shall have it too, even if it is just a piece of glass that serves no function at all

Gsmarena, it would be very helpful, if you could test the image quality of manual modes of smartphone cameras. Do they still combine multiple images in manual mode? Is the tone mapping identical?
It would be also helpful, if you could measure the duration of the night modes. (Apple's 3s night mode actually takes nearly 5 seconds).
I also noticed that you don't test moving objects. A different review has shown that the Vivo X70 Pro Plus produces terrible artifacts.

Some photos look blurry, soft (#11,#13,#14) despite having a high shutter speed. Idk if it was the wind or shaky hands or some stacking issues or something wrong with the lens, but something's wrong somewhere.
Or is it just wide open aperture finally catching up?

That battery...my goodness...even the Xperia 1 iii scored better than this and it's the same battery stat but with LTPO!
That's crazy...I feel like BBK doesn't know what they're doing with this tech since Oppo and OnePlus didn't score that much better..

Good performance rating for a phone loaded with bloatware??.. I think it is subjective. Pixel 4a would easily beat this phone in terms of user experiences I am done with the likes of vivo, realme, mi and oppo.

Everything's all well and good, but..
(Almost) Everywhere else: Vivo X70 Pro+ has a better camera than Mi 11 Ultra.
GSMArena: Mi 11 Ultra has a better camera than Vivo X70 Pro+
But yep, It can be subjective, and in reality both are top-grade cameras.
PS: Instead of this cheesy Pro+ naming, Vivo should've just called this one the X70 "Ultra" I feel.
