'Photos are ridiculously clear, maybe too clear sometimes.'
A lot of samples are full of noise and artefacts. Main camera, that is, most important one. Actually those samples feel like shot with mid range camera. Seems like computational photography has reached its dead end and Spygle is unable to offer something new despite of better sensor.

"GN1 1/1.31" sensor with omni-directional phase-detection autofocus"
It's not omni-directional autofocus. It seems that gsmarena never learns that. Octa PD = Quad Bayer dual pixel autofocus. Octa does not mean omni! Octa = Quad x Dual

The main camera is not equivalent to 26mm, but rather 24-25mm. (The full frame equivalent focal length is actually 24mm, but there might be some distortion, which leads to a diagonal field of view of 25mm, but nobody would say that a 24mm full frame lens on a full frame camera is equivalent to 25mm due to distortion..)

Finally, thank you Gsmarena .
