After this phone launched I bought the S20 FE with Snapdragon 865 for my mom for just €399. Why would anyone pay so much money for basically the same phone with a processor that overheats and lacks microSD? Unfortunately a fail for Samsung, anybody wanting to spend extra money would wait 2 months for S22/S22+

This website is in this for long. They are getting paid for promoting it. Some of us are saying for long but nobody cares.

I thought Samsung was starting to do itself a favour but this phone only sits within the mediocre range of Galaxy phones as abit of a “missed the party” device.

When you consider the discounts that can be found on the standard S21, the FE just can’t cut it.

Samsung still sacrificing too much for improved profit performance.

smm183, 12 Jan 2022Are you going to publish complete review in close future or... moreAfter reading quite a few such as phone area
They basically justified that they is not much point in purchasing this device when the s22 will come out for around the simular price very soon with much more

Also suggested very alarming thermal throttling performing worse than the s20 fe within a few minutes with this device with both socs as probably to with plastic design and corner cutting

Are you going to publish complete review in close future or what? I`m really waiting for that.

every comment about headphone jack and sd card slot were deleted on another article.

not only can samsung privide basic features in an overpriced flagship, they force gsmarena to delete sensible posts.

my new phone is a sony.

The camera. First impression was: oh, it's not half bad. But after pixel peeping revelation came. It is as bad as any Samsung camera.

I love my S20FE 5G. With Verizon, it covers the mmWave frequencies as well. Went to a football game which had the Ultra Wide Band (UWB) service. Did a speed check. Download speed of 1.8 GB. I could care less about lacking the headphone jack. That's why God invented Bluetooth. Put a 512GB microSD card in it and now have more memory than I can ever use. Image is fine. Cameras are fine. If you need better photography, stop being cheap and go buy a digital SLR.

With the SD card slot missing in the S21 FE 5G, I have no reason to upgrade.

Back of the S21+ Is glass not plastic. Why do you keep repeating that everywhere?

You people are complaining about the SD 888 overheating like is happening to the every costumer that bought a phone with said chip. The reality is that only maybe 5% of those will experience this, because they are heavy users, they game and run meaningless benchmark and geekbench test that overhaul the phones CPU, GPU and battery.

People who use the phones for social media and photography won't experience this. Maybe phone will get a little bit warm while charging...but that's it.

Not every phone user puts his phone to the limits so that they can complain how hot the SD 888 is.

Is a good one, 11 Jan 2022Is snapdragon variant avaliable in the UK As its superior... moreYes. European version is Snapdragon this time. Double check on it though when you're buying just incase. To be honest the Snapdragon 888 is a toasty chip too this time and don't expect excellent battery this time around..the Snapdragon 865 was responsible for the excellent battery last time ..I tried an s20fe5g and battery was excellent just like on my OnePlus 8. Hope you find a deal on it because second hand value is abismal .

It's a bit late. Phones like vanilla OnePlus 10 will have the edge due to the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 being out and the new chip is a lot faster than previous one this time around. It will be a steal on the second hand market too meaning it's gonna lose a heck of a lot of value like the s20fe5g did. Unfortunately many people don't realise how good the Fe phones are.

AmiloD, 11 Jan 2022I predict this phone to flop, hard. It should be same price... moreNoticed they have a deal going in UK where trade in any old device and get 150 pound off so total works out 549 £ would it be worth it then

I predict this phone to flop, hard. It should be same price as S20 FE, since it's released a year later with generally same hardware, with marginally better screen and cpu but cut back HARD on accessories and sd-slot. Design is uglier than S21 in person, that camera isle looks and feels premium when it's part of frame and is metal, but in FE it's just molded plastic and looks cheap.

This phone should not cost more than €500, 550 tops.

As the normal s21 has exynos which is not as good as snapdragon variant
