Wow!!!! Interesting comments! I am about to upgrade my contract and phone... I believe this comment page is 50/50. It can either really help you make up your mind, or totally put you off!! My first option is the Samsung i900. But then I heard of this phone (Samsung F480),and decided to have a look!!

An I have just made up my mind!!! After reading all the comments!
I am taking the Samsung i 900! Eventhough the price range is over the top, I am taking it!! For anyone deciding on a new phone, do yourself a favour, go the website, and read ALL the comments (Good and Bad).
There's no better way to get the answers you want, than to go to those that has the phone!

Know I will be happy with my i 900!!

i have to agree with some comments, the tocco is class. It looks stylish, is very user friendly, n the internet is quality. My only gripe is why have samsung locked the screensaver? U can personalise the phone every other way, even the message alert, which u cant change on most samsungs. Its not a big deal, jus cant work out why they'd lock that, doesn't make sense. Other than that 9.5/10

Hi, I'm from the Philippines and I just tried the phone the other day (not my phone... borrowed someone else's). I think it's really good because it meets an average person's basic needs to contact people. I think that's what Samsung is trying to do: bring back the idea of owning a basic phone but at the same time jump into modernity and bringing it into trend. But in terms of graphics and overall quality, the iPhone wins... as a phone, F480 reigns supreme.

I just don't like it as it has no WLAN and its poor video qualities. Otherwise it's the phone that meets all my needs.

I dont know why this phone has been rated so positive. Why is nobody capable of a touch interface as the Iphone has. The touch interface with this samsung is a joke. You can see on the videos what is this a joke ?

For the price of the phone, people here are asking way to much. They phone is not even in the same range as the iphone when it comes to price. Yet, it has all the basic features that people want. The only thing that people complain about is wifi & GPS. Look at the phones that has wifi & GPS, they are way more expensive than the F480. The usefulness of wifi is questionable. It is great if you have the wifi @ home feature with T-Mobile USA but other than that, 3G is fine. When it comes to GPS, let me remind everyone that the iphone only has A-GPS. It says so on the apple website. There is a major difference because a phone with real GPS is very pricy (N95, N95 8GB, & Touch Diamond). If samsung put all of this into the F480, then people will scream that the price tag is too high. The phone is great as it is. It looks very stylish, and the functions are great, and its compact, and also dont forget, a 5MP camera. QWERTY keyboard would be kinda some on this phone with the size of the screen. BTW, the VIEWTY is 50% thicker than F480, it is also bigger length wise. Can't compare when the dimensions of the phone is not the same.

I have had this phone for about two weeks now and am very impressed texting isnt a problem althoough it takes a bit of getting used to. The camera is the same as most phones, it is not good in low light and the photos do not look good on the phone however when downloaded to PC they are very good. If you want fantstic photos use a camera!!! The screens are easy to use adn the menu easy to understand a very good phone that is easy to use and looks good. test one aand you will see

I also just got this phone yesterday, and I live in Denmark. The phone is really good in its self, but the camera isnt as good as I thought. Its not hard to write on the touchscreen but it takes a while to learn how to write fast, and to makeing smilies like: :b, :D, :P, :o, :s and so on. But all in all its a great phone, but its wierd that there doesnt stand Armani or something like that, because its a really hot phone, with a great design!

Looks like super phone, shame no wifi though. My interest is in camera. Can anybody please tell me is there much difference quality wise of photos in comparison with Samsung G810? (Taking into consideration no 3x zoom).

I actually went into O2 today and played with both the 480 and the iphone for about 20 miinutes and the F480 was just soooo much better. Faster Web, top pocketable, 5M Camera just to name a few points. I think it might have Java too which for me would be the deal maker.

Don't forget in the phone world your not king of the block for long. (Treo 650, Razr all had their time).

However I will wait till the end of the month and find out when the new iphone 3G will be out and its specs otherwise the 480 will be my new baby this year. R
