JustSomeRandomGuy, 01 Mar 2022"Not many games can go above 60 fps" why can... moreDesktop system and android systems aren't same. Games for PC are designed primarily keeping OS in mind where Games for mobile are designed targeting each type. So, even if you have a good hardware you might not get good performance because the game developers may not have optimized that game for your smartphone.

IpsDisplay, 01 Mar 2022This officially kills the arguement of
"why buy a g... moreExynos already beat SD888 by a respectable margin. Snapdragon just freaked out and fed a lot more power to GPU. That's all.
This is why even the gaming phone with active cooling like this one gets very hot. Because of the internal barrier of fan, the heat can't reach surface but the frame still gets toasty. Look at the graph, the internal temp reached 59 degree. That's 10 degrees more than exynos 2200. 10 degrees(even with fan on).
So, stop blabbering about good cooling.
Although Asus and Lenovo do it far better than this one.

JustSomeRandomGuy, 01 Mar 2022"Not many games can go above 60 fps" why can... moreIt's not an Android issue, it's the phones often dropping the refresh rate to 60 in games and the games not trying to set anything higher and mostly ignoring FPS limits that are higher than 60. At least RM phones let you force a refresh rate through developer settings, so you get less touch input latency.

"why buy a g... moreiPhone basically run games at 828p vs 720p or even 540p on Android, but cannot agree iPhone is the smoothest phone out there. But most games are nothing compared to console or PC games. We have promised mobile games here and there, ex. Undawn, and where now?
Cancelled except on China.
Phones these days are already poweful enough. Needs to be more efficient instead.

What a failure :
- 165Hz but rarely pass 90Hz
- poor calibrated screen
- FHD and 4500mAh, but not even 90h
- gaming phone that cannot even run COD beyond 100fps? LOL ...

The games on Android are a bit like gaming on a smartphone.
Not very robust.
I wish I needed it, but I don't.
I'm glad they're pushing the envelope and progress continues,
perhaps Android apps and games as a whole will improve.

"Not many games can go above 60 fps"
why can't just Google let Android unlock its FPS like in desktop programs? I'm genuinely curious

I can tell you one thing... This is a gaming phone... And I am an owner of a red magic device in my hands right now.
Best flagship handset I have ever had.
I am a gamer... And my God... Gaming is a breeze... I used the one plus handset and tried pubg... I honestly feel sorry for any one without a gaming phone trying to play PUBG.
Then I compared with my red magic device.... It's like 100x better. Such a massive difference.
PUBG to me is like comedy. Because the red magic device is sooooo amazing at gaming. I am literally running circles round most people on pubg. I can tell they are struggling with there handsets. And finger cramped onto the screen.
As for me... Man. It's no effort. It's cruise control for hours. It's too easy. And most of the time you come first place. About 90% of the time I always have by far the highest scores out of the group. And by far.
Problem is with gaming phones is that they are sooo good at gaming. Some people think your cheating. And on the other hand. Much more is expected of you. As you are far more capable. And the only problem is... Is that is really frustrating if your in a group on pubg. And the other players just cannot perform like you can. And often be a set back.
I find that with having a gaming phone. Half of the game is keeping my other players alive. Giving them medicine. And resurrecting them on pubg. So I end up half the game having to rescue most of my players. As there handsets have a limitation. And having a gaming phone allows you to do everything.
So the problem with a gaming phone. Is that you end up too good. Above and beyond other players. The best way to play PUBG is everyone had proper gaming phones. I don't know how people can play PUBG on a normal handset. I just don't know how they can do it. With there hands and fingers for hours must be sooo uncomfortable.
A gaming phone is like the rolls royce or lambo of phones. Strictly for gamers...
If you would like to be completely defeated on pubg against my red magic device your welcome to challange me. But I can assure you. You will lose. There is no way at all that if you don't have a gaming phone. That you will win. Impossible. Only unless you have a gaming phone... And the we have a challange.
My advice. Never game on a non gaming device vs a gamer with a gaming device... You will never ever win.

This officially kills the arguement of
"why buy a gaming smartphone when a regular flagship can do the same"
There is no flagship smartphone on the market that can sustain performance rock steady 60fps like to for 30 minutes to an hour plus on something like genshin impact on maxed settings.. especially at low temperatures
The iPhone 13 pro Max, no galaxy s22 cannot do it
I bet the legion y90 can
Apart from that 89hr battery endurance is a disgrace for a gaming smartphone absolutely unacceptable
"Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 takes a notable lead over this year's Exynos 2200 chip"
Mediatek and Qualcomm in the android camp are really the only top tier flagship chipset offerings exynos needs to sit down and compete with the 888 or 870
Every year we hear how great the exynos will be smh

You get what you pay for I guess. Red Magic has always been about nabbing fantastic hardware at stellar prices but comes with terrible Global software that gets about 2 updates to fix major bugs and then they forget about it to move onto the 'S' version later in the year.
