I like this phone but I'm unsure about the CPU.
Does it offer a smooth performance in light usage? Meaning only social media, calling, texting, no gaming.
Does it have a good battery life?

All of the recent releases from BBK Electronics has the same back design (camera module), Oppo Reno 7 series, Vivo V series (although the V23 5G has smaller cameras) Realme and OnePlus.

You can actually tell how the realme 8i with mediatek g96 flattens the 9i with sd 680 in the antutu benchmark. They are not equal.

Smaller node does not always equal better chip. The G96 literally has better Geekbench and AnTuTu 9 scores than the 680. The battery efficiency on the 680 may be better, but that's pretty much it.
Helio G96 > SD 680.
