I thought Xperia Pro I had a good camera for still photos but this one does everything better when comparing the photos side by side... well done Xiaomi

Overpriced for the specs. This is no Apple & Samsung. Know where your foot is, Xiaomi.

It seems like Xiaomi went one step backwards with the 12 in almost every way (except for chipset obviously, but even that has thermal issues).

Key findings from this review:
- No IP ratings? Seriously?
- Amazing screen, in terms of everything from colour accuracy to brightness. It really sets the standard for what non-Samsung phones should be able to achieve in this regard.
- Crap battery life. Yes, it's bad, unless there's something wrong with the battery test procedure or the power management in the OS.
- I don't *hate* the look of MIUI but I still prefer ColorOS over it.
- As usual with devices with SD 8 Gen 1, great burst performance followed by acute throttling that leads to mediocre sustained performance. Nothing surprising but I'm continued to be disappointed with Qualcomm's decision to go with Samsung's fab instead of TSMC's.
- The main wide camera is excellent - the lens has a decent corner to corner sharpness, the photos have a great amount of details regardless of the lighting conditions (although they seem to be slightly more sharpened than on Mi11U during the day) and colours are quite natural. I barely have any complaints here.
- The telephoto camera is also great but given the tiny pixel pitch, I don't think shooting in the full-res mode is worth a lot here. The UWA is fine - very wide but also soft around the edges, though at least the chromatic aberration is kept in check. It does get the job done even in low light, at least, but to me the lack of AF is a major turn off.
- Video recording capability is a clear step down from Mi11U. The quality of the 8K video is a bit worse, the rest is essentially the same although a smaller sensor and the lack of on-sensor HDR should hurt quite a bit in backlit scenes or low light.
All things considered, IMO, it's a touch overpriced for what it offers.

Another scam xiaomi is pushing. Mainly in India.
People there need to stop buying these and support local brands so they can grow.
Just like redmi note 11 pro+ to be announced for €500. Phone lacks nfc.
Cant be more pathetic. Not even Captain is trying to make lame excuses for this.

Good main sensor, bad optics. Nova 9 main camera is still best on the market.

when you can't innovate anything, don't dare to change/set the trend and keep following others blindly, you concentrate and draw attention to charging speed

People, Xiaomi has a point with the fast charging. Even using a 65W PPS charger on my Huawei P50 Pro, I forget about it, because it'll have enough power by the time I need my phone to be untethered from the wall. To be able to top up a battery from 25% to 75% in the same time it takes to go to the toilet is well worth the less-than-ideal battery life.
However, the performance is unforgivable when the RedMagic 7 throttles to 85% WITHOUT its fan on. What's more shocking is that the RedMagic also has the performance cranked even higher (It was peaking at 332k GIPS while the Xiaomi was puttering along at 295k. The SD888 could hit 275k when pushed hard enough, though it too would throttle to something similar.)
Either Xiaomi ran out of space for thermal dissipation stuff or didn't care, presuming that we'd never notice.

It is unlikely from Xiaomi why this phone has such a weak battery and it has a bad sound? Even Xiaomi midrangers are better than this flagship phone. 😂😂😂

I bet this 120W is 87W like the other phones.
