This is one of the 2022 A series smartphones that makes a lot of sense when it comes to price

Although I wish it was a punch hole selfie cutout( that looks more futuristic)
But corners had to be cut

      Not bad! Agree with comment they could skip the notch quite easily, no harm to a lineup would be done. It's a bit low-endish and old-fashioned element. E1280 is a logical step, they keep SD778 for higher A73. Obviously Exynos with 5000mAh equals Snapdragon with 4500. It's useless to cry over jack and charger any more, it's simply a fact. Forces to buy a fast charger at least. Same higher prices. In the end, I can imagine to buy this for some of my family if I can get it for the right price (closer to 300). 5 years of software support suits, too.

            Bought this phone on the 13th of April, the 8/256GB variant.

            Use it for casual Social Media (Twitter, FB, IG and YT) averaging 2 hours per day and Videocalls on WA several times a day (averaging 40 mins per call). Several e-commerce apps and travel apps are also used frequently throughout the day.

            On Average the battery gets charger every 1.5 days and used with the 25 Watt Superfast Charging Travel Adapter it reaches 100% at 1 hour 9 minutes (always charge when at 10%)

            I Love the design and smoothness of the body as well as the awesome blue color palette. Bought a clearcase to show-off that blue but also a rugged armour case for when the going might get tough.

            The Price might feel hefty at IDR 5.300.000 in Indonesia HOWEVER when you haven't purchased a phone for 2 years (still on the S8+ too) this seems like a no brainer ESPECIALLY with the 5 year software support promised by Samsung. Been using Xiaomi Redmi Notes series since the 8 Pro but honestly with their slowing down after 6 months and the need to Factory Reset to refresh and the pathetic software support, AGAIN buying this seems a no brainer.

            I Also bought a 512GB Samsung Microsd to load the majority of my FLAC collections into the phone as I am going for that JUKEBOX Feel (LOL) and the music playback and sound quality is very good EVEN WITH the STEREO SPEAKER with provides a FULL-BODIED SOUND (Great Midrange and vocals).
            I don't gripe about the missing audio jack since I have been using various TWS and BT Cans (Jabra, Xiaomi, Bose) and the sound quality is very good (granted good quality files at minimal 320kbps is key to this)
            It has NFC for payment, a great AMOLED SCREEN and Spacious 256GB Internal Memory so this is a long-term keeper for me (again, software support is key here).

            Prices of phones will continue to hike and for me, replacing a phone every year is simply not longer a good option (yeah xiaomi, i am talking to you) SO UNLESS I am super-bored with the phone, It will be my daily driver in the next 59 months

            BTW, I probably still be hanging on to the S8+ because of that premium feel and a much better camera quality (despite it's lower resolution). The camera on the A33 is good enough for the mass BUT if you have been in the FLAGSHIP Territory, you know keeping a flagship is always the way to go.

            Perhaps next year, I will add the S22 Ultra 5G to my collection when the price is slashed in half.

                    a9, 20 May 2022We were comparing the efficiency of SD 695 & Exynos 1280.Read my comment again, i agree sd 695 is more efficient than 1280, but i made a point because sd 695 is more efficient doesnt mean 1280 is bad, then i went to compare 1280 with other non sd 695 phones which was released this Year.

                    I gave you example redmi note 11 pro with Helio G96.

                        Hemedans, 19 May 2022I said 11 pro not pro 5G.We were comparing the efficiency of SD 695 & Exynos 1280.

                          Despite the unfortunate lack of 3.5mm jack and charger in the box, this is one of the fiew real upgrades we have seen this year compared to previous A32.

                          And yes the exynos 1280 makes more sense on A33 5G than A53.

                              A great phone for 300 bucks, but it would be better with a Snapdragon or Dimensity chipset.

                                Exynos 1280 5nm 5G sounds quite attractive, but I still have my doubts about how emulators behave on Exynos processors, many times I have heard that Snapdragon processors are leaders in the emulation department.

Just because U-shaped cutout design is older doesn't mean it has to be bad.
