Oneplus 8 Pro came with OxygenOS 11 out of the box correct? Funtouch looks exactly like OxgyenOS 10 looked a.k.a the last good OxygenOS update.

I have been using this device for the last 6 months and I am impressed. I came from a 2 year old Oneplus 8 pro, I would still prefer O2OS over Funtouch any day. But, everything else is top notch. The screen, the battery (I constantly get 6 to 7 hours of SOT, which includes atleast 30 to 60 mins of COD), the cameras are amazing (not consistent all the time, but the pics come out really good most of the times and there is no phone which can match it's night captures), the updates ( I am already on December security patch) and finally, I really like way it looks ( I know it's not everyone's taste. Yet, I like it a lot). My cons would be the inconsistencies in the picture quality sometimes and OS (It just looks like a very old version of Android. Don't get me wrong, it functions well, speedy and little to no bugs too).

My wife purchased this phone a few days ago. I don't have opinion about battery life yet. At night it delivers very bright and without noise images. I have also tried supermoon mode. Very artistic and beautiful result at the wide end. At 60x I am able to make a direct comparison with my Nikon Coolpix P1000. The moonshot is not as good as the one from the P1000 but its very satisfying considering the fact we have a very small lens. It impressed me. Same quality more or less as in Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra space zoom and Huawei P50 Pro. Generally the camera app is very flexible. I tried the star mode as well but there was a lot of light pollution in the city and destroyed the final result. The infrared useful for house appliances. FunOs minimalistic as a skin and very light. In Greece it has a very competitive price (1000€) considering that the other flagships costs 1200€+. With the exception of Huawei P50 Pro. But it doesn't have Google services and is not 5g so...no.

How it can be, that at 1200€ does ot record 4k simultaneously with the tele cameras?

S22 Ultra does it, xiaomi 12 pro also, and some other flagships...

This and the PWM of current flagships makes me stay with the stellar camera performance of the Mi10 at a fraction of cost.

Anonymous, 06 Jul 2022Camera specially in night is great but overall s22 ultra is... moreI'm not saying S22 Ultra is bad but X80 Pro isn't too. Both these devices are best android flagship at present. For someone like me who has shifted to X80 Pro after using Redmi K20 Pro for almost 3 years is a big upgrade. I wanted to get Mi 11 ultra but it is nowhere in stock. I was out of Delhi for several months and where I was that time the phone wasn't available. I thought I'll get one when I come back but since it was available in limited quantity for a very limited period it was sold out before I came back. So I was waiting to get some other phone other than that of xiaomi and I bought X80 Pro and I'm happy with it. I believe I can use it for another 2-3 years. S22 Ultra isn't bad and I would have bought it if it had charger and screen protector in box despite it is 30k more expensive here which is good enough money to buy a more than decent mid ranger.

I've bought this phone. Used it for a while now. My opinions.

                            Pros

                            God mode camera.
Compared with s22 ultra and iPhone 13 pro Max. I prefer the vivo here easily. Absurd dynamic range. Used all 3 for a while.

Amazing 2x gimbal portraits (dslr level).

Beats everything in low light almost everytime. Video or photos. Night portraits are actually good here too. Very useful for indoor photos and events.

Huuuge suite of options for photo style preference ( Bokeh effect options, change Bokeh, cinematic style, LUTS,)

                            PRO MODE VIDEO.

Battery is equal if not better than the s22 ultra for my usage. I charge my phone once daily (regardless of phone). With my extremely heavy use I get 6-8 hours of screen on time battery life (games and camera with mild WhatsApp and little calling) I guess the calling battery may be the issue because I'm getting brilliant numbers here repeatedly. I set fps to auto switch.

Fast charging is a big reason I chose this over the s22 ultra or iphone. That feature should be a basic necessity in 2022. 20-30 minute top up and boom you're good to go. Takes over an hour on the s22 ultra...atleast the iphone 13 pro Max can justify it's slow charge with almost a 10 hour battery...s22 ultra is roughly 6-7 hours sot..(sd gen 1 Check reddit everyone reports the same)

BEAUTIFUL screen. The difference in display is non existent..it's been that way for a while now with most flagship screens.

Ergonomic..s22 ultra and 13 pro Max hurt my hand with long usage. Square design looks nice but jabs the hand

Cod and wild rift don't overheat the phone...I guess it overheats in the benchmark test because it bypasses the framerate limit vivo sets.

Smooth OS no jitters at all. Pleasantly surprised.

I've gotten 2 updates in 2 months with camera improvements and minor bug fixes with security. Hope it continues.

                            Priced the best in India.

                            Con.

Pip mode in Netflix doesnt work when you use gesture navigation. But Works when you are on button navigation. Seems like a bug to be ironed out.

Low support for accessories due to lack of mass adoptions...( Low case options )

Ultra wide camera shots felt a little soft in comparison to OnePlus 9 pro which I believe is the benchmark. ( Weird comparison but I used that phone too so I'll mention it.) Not a deal breaker but like 9/10...in comparison to the same shot of the 9 pro.

Proprietary charger....like thanks for the free charger but why would you not allow me to fast charge with my old phones charger properly? Especially when your accessories are limited.

I dislike the ultra Sonic finger print reader...it feels slower than the OnePlus indisplay one...vivo is probably more secure...

                            No Inbuilt pen.

Frame interpolation is neat but needs to be ironed out for the enhanced frame rate beyond 60 fps. This does make the phone warm 42 degrees Celsius. The only time I saw battery drop fast.

                            Conclusion.
This has the perfect blend of Feature Form and Value. All Androids with sd gen 1 are averaging 6-8 hours sot..this one.i focus on which one charges faster. I don't enjoy the apple ecosystem as it restricts me from using apps, multitasking, background downloading, outside it's store and it's limiting nature of closed ecosystem, even though I appreciate it's battery stamina and videography chops. But it's heavy and charges slow with a proprietary charger that's a no for me but it would be my alternative. I skipped on the s 22 ultra because even if it manages to get me an extra hour of battery from the extra 300 mah battery ( which it never does no matter how much i optimize it..). I can top up and be done in 10 minutes in the evening without battery anxiety. Just the s pen feature is appealing to me.

No hate to any of these devices. This is my personal research and opinion. I hope it helps you to demo all of them out and check for yourself. 🍻

Charging is of course exceptional in x80 pro. Software is much much better in s 22 ultra as fun touch is at the bottom when we talk about software.Night cam and video is better I x80 pro but video stabilisation is better in s22 ultra . Zoom is far better in s22 ultra .Day light pics and videos are equal .

Bought X80 Pro on 3rd June. It comes in a rich box with all the things adapter, back cover, headset as well as pre-applied screen protector. The quality of back cover and screen protector is extremely good.
The device feels premium in hand. It immediately started to heat as I put my sim card and started setting up the device but became normal soon. It doesn't overheat while using camera or playing games. Gets a little warm while charging.
I don't let the battery completely drain out. I charge when it is 3 to 4%. It charges from 4 to 100 in 35 minutes while a 50% charge (4 to 54) takes 15 minutes.
Just one word for display and camera WOW. It captures excellent pictures indoor, outdoor and at night with very good details. Zeiss cinematic mode portrait is wonderful. Horizon stabilisation is unbelievable. Fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate. For some battery life might be little disappointing but that's the case with flagships these days. Vivo's 80W charging adapter makes up for it. You can juice up the battery within minutes anytime you're running short.
Camera performance is better than S22 ultra. I thoroughly tested in the store. S22 ultra might have better zoom. Other than that X80 Pro is clear winner in camera department.
Go for Vivo X80 pro if you want a flagship grade camera performance and hardware. In the beginning it'll heat up a bit but not much later. I'm getting little over 6 hours of SOT with 2400×1080 resolution and 60 hz refresh rate and about 5 hours while on 3200×1440 and 120 hz refresh rate.
Battery easily lasts a day. I played real cricket 20 as well as 22 for an hour but I didn't find the device heating up.
I'm satisfied with the device. It justifies its 80k price which is 30k cheaper than S22 Ultra which is without adapter, back cover, screen protector and headset.
