Unlike products from Samsung and Apple which are supported longer, hence have better aftermarket value.

Im using the Oppo Find X2 Pro myself and it came out with Android 10 which was based on ColorOS 7 (they only started synchronise the numbers from ColorOs and Android since last year). Oppo announced already that the Flagships will get 3 Major Updates so Android 13 will be the last one btw.

YUKI93, 27 May 2022If you want Android brands that can give at least three maj... moreUnfortunately you're wrong. I'm using an Oppo X2 pro as my daily driver and it is currently running Android 12 having been running Android 7 on purchase. So Oppo at least are providing a decent run of OS updates. Mu phone has also just updated to the June 2022 security patch. So no failure there either from Oppo. People just need to stop hating Chinese phones imho.

[deleted post]i personally need that dedicated 2 stage camera button. still had my Lumia 1020 on shelf

Not Impressed at all, While taking wider angle shots in final image result the dynamic range quality, specially when it comes to edges the quality is too low for such specs

Well a friend of mine who works in the photography... moreTell him not to expect much from Xperia's telephoto camera then - if he's a photographer then he will immediately notice it when a camera is trying to hide the lack of lens sharpness with strong large-radius sharpening.

YUKI93, 30 May 2022Oh yeah? Well a friend of mine who works in the photography... moreI'm supposed to believe that your friend's opinion somehow holds more merit than the opinion of actual professionals who review phones and their camera capabilities for a living? Lol sure.
Why do you feel the need to shove your opinion down other people's throats? Why can't you enjoy your overpriced Xperia garbo in silence? Nobody cares about your nonsensical comments regarding headphone jacks or SD card slots. It's old, annoying and very sad. The world has moved on. Why can't you?

The camera layout looks so much like the Nokia 7.2, and some sony affair to it

Well a friend of mine who works in the photography field does own the Mi 11 Ultra and even he's not that impressed with the photo quality, especially with its colour. He's now only waiting for the Xperia 1 Mk4 to arrive here before trading the Xiaomi for it.

I think imx598 have better result than the gn1

This is with new battery let's see after 2 year. 40 hour???

Honestly, this is one of the best, most value-packed smartphones ever made. I wish it had a better battery, though

The rest still stuck at two (for Reno and F series) and one (for select A series). Even Xiaomi and Realme's three year OS update policy only applied to 11T series and GT2 series respectively. So while you are not wrong, it doesn't apply to all model.

YUKI93, 27 May 2022Already looked at them and compared the photos. All of them... moreXiaomi 12 Pro actually applies substantially *less* sharpening than both X70 Pro+ and Xperia 1 IV; if you look at the sample from the three on GSMArena's comparison chart it's clear that the latter two exhibits more obvious sharpening haloes around edges compared to Xiaomi. Grass in real-world sample photos can't be a good indicator of natural processing in this case since it's either withered or grown tall depending on the scenes as well as the time when the review was written for each device. On the other hand, both Xiaomi and Vivo resolve seem to resolve finer details than Sony, although this might be due to the difference in sensor size and Sony having to apply more noise reduction to keep the image noise-free.

The regular Mi 11 is known for extremely laid back processing and leaves no trace of oversharpening whatsoever anywhere in its images - the fact that the resolution is so large that you have to zoom in all the way to even start seeing any artifacts definitely helps. The Ultra is also very good during the day, though they both tend to go overboard with noise reduction when using night mode, and for this reason I consider 12 Pro to be a more consistent performer across different lighting conditions.
