    You can build a rugged phone, that is much more pocketable than this. You just have to give up the screen size and battery capacity. Have a look at the Samsung S8 Active. There are other options too.

    You can also get something like the iPhone 13 Mini, or ASUS ZenFone 8, then slap them into a really bulky/durable case.... which is what most people in construction do from what I've seen.

      The night mode shots (monochrome) looks like scene on horror movie especially the paranormal one....😅

        I liked my 6600 pro till I lost everything,, never knew what happened, I rebooted phone , well not freezing up no more, but now ,I can't download nothing from my laptop, it don't recognize phone,, then theirs the crazy adds I deleted before always coming up,, I emailed blacevirw they ask questions I couldn't answer because the phone had deleted all my records,,,if I can get it working again right I be happy

          I like the photos from the main camera, they look natural, and because of the 32mm equivalent focal length, there's much less perspective distortion than all the top ranking flagship cameras with 23/24mm equivalent lenses. ZTE is the only manufacturer that recognises this problem, but unfortunately, they have to use smaller sensors to implement a 35mm equivalent lens and they left out the 24 on this year's phones.

          When everyone is competing to fit the largest sensor for lower noise, better dynamic range etc, the use of ever wider lenses results in poorer corner sharpness like in the Xiaomi mi 11 ultra, but more importantly, your subject will look distorted if you try and fill the frame, otherwise your subject will take up a smaller proportion of the frame.

            I am actually surprised that this phone didnt get 3.5 stars.

            Yes the rugged build and great battery are great to have but for 350euros in 2022
            -the performance is the worst you can get for the money
            -the bezels and weight/dimensions are terrible
            -the software support with be almost to no existent and not only that but it comes with android 11 out of the box
            -no headphone jack/microSD etc and only 1 bottom speaker
            -bad display for the price.

            Is this supposed to be a very expensive tough brick just for calls? Are there many people out there nowadays that ask for these devices??

                        Somehow reminds me my old (pretty rugged for that time) Siemens M65. Maybe the colours.

                        And main camera is really good for a such kind of phone.

                          Weight = 367 g (12.95 oz)
                          That's heavier and larger than the behemoth ASUS RoG 5 !!!

                          For most people, the limit or size of a large phone is:
                          Weight = 200 grams
                          Dimensions = 160mm x 78mm x 9.0mm
                          ....anything heavier, thicker, taller, or wider starts to become a problem for the hand, ergonomics, the modern-day clothing and pockets.

                                Only the Galaxy Active are the ones who has a purpouse: being phones made for archeologist who goes to long time outside

                                  Rugged phones don't make any sense these days. Any phone can have a basic level of protection with a case and screen protector. Almost all phones are water resistant upto some degree. All come with toughened glass as well. Big battery is present too.

                                  So the difference between a regular phone and rugged phone is barely there, apart from the abnormally huge battery. Rugged phones hardly have anything else to set them apart from other phones. They're not even rugged because their screen is still made of fragile glass that will break easily

                                      Since it has a tablet battery basically and full HD screen, I thought some number would be better like over 30h for video and browsing.

                                        I thought it is using thermal or image intensifier until I checked for price. Nevertheless interesting feature. I remember that some ToF emitter and sensor kits can be used for rudimentary night vision purpose, like Galaxy S20 plus, though resolution is VGA-level.
