[deleted post]Bro really comparing sd 855 to Dimensity 8100 which outperforms sd 8gen1 in long gaming, get your self a Samsung then Fanboy

The claimed 1600 battery cycle count before battery capacity falling to 80% is amazing. Does Realme provide anyway to check the cycle count? In my Poco F1 the built-in kernel profile tracks cycle count which can be accessed with root. Currently at 750 a few months short of the 3 year mark. Battery capacity had already fallen to 80% at ~630 cycles in just 20 months. Soon after figured out how to enable bypass charging of sorts which has been an absolute boon to counter battery degradation.

Gav, 02 Jun 2022Why so low score? Litteraly this phone costs 350$ for 80w v... more$350 should be the price without any tax attached (imports, selling, etc).

Gav, 02 Jun 2022Why so low score? Litteraly this phone costs 350$ for 80w v... moreAgreed, still a good phone and well priced I think, but I need to have a closer look...

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2022By 'most people', you actually just saying you do... moreGeneralisation is always a risk I agree.

My wishes for a phone is firstly speed..
So yes I first look at the chipset.
A good screen, battery capacity, and fast enough charging.

I have the Realme GT Master... And it was the best choice for me...
65 W charging is already really fast, but I can imagine in some moments, being in a hurry and finding out you're phone's almost dead, you want to be enough powered up in 5 to 10 minutes..
Than a 65W is not entirely reaching your wishes, so I've experienced.

But in general 65W is super!! Before realising it's full...

The chipset is really fast enough and only by the time it doesn' t load fast enough anymore, because of the demand of apps and such, you are already looking for a new phone after 2 to 3 years....

I'm not that interested in photo's, so for me this phone is great, but my girlfriend could be disappointed, although far better than her Samsung something A61?
I bought it for €170,- second hand because this girl wanted a good camera...

So everybody has their one needs, I preferably don't want to spend more than €250,- €300,- and than go looking for the best offer and a brand I feel comfortable with.

An important aspect for me is a good clean interface, so pretty clean android, or an iPhone.
So Samsung is a no go for me, even if you would be able to turn it of....

So REALME is the real me for me...... For now at least.

Love you guys, keep giving comments, so we les knowing people have an idea what we are buying.

By the way I scrolled ANTUTU a million times before buying.. and geekbench...

Realme is pretty good, but I also agree, these new models from GT Neo 2 to 3, is such a minor step it hardly deserves a new name, this is just selling techniques, luring us into our greed and wanting to have the newest versions..

So let us please be happy with the phone we're holding, before buying a new one...

          Big hug, ShamanAngel

Anonymous, 02 Jun 2022Anyone know which version has 512GB memory, the 80 or 150 watt?Likely the 150w, as they are positioning the 150w as the higher variant.

Gt2 pro vs neo 3. Cheapest versions 549$ vs 350$. Same camera imho neo3 looks better (better isp?) Throttle 80-90% (neo3) vs 74% (gt2 pro). Same onscreen benchmark performance gt2 pro Has lower multicore scores? I guees after 40min gaming sesion neo3 will perform better. Litteraly best bang for Buck phone.

Anonymous, 31 May 2022So, all chinese brands promise exactly same 80% battery cap... moreThat's because the advised time to replace a battery or get a new phone is at 80% battery health. Not just Chinese phones, but all of them

Anonymous, 31 May 2022That's the price for China, right? You are looking at ... moreI've got no idea if global version is even released yet, but you can buy the phone for the price I stated if you don't mind importing it to your country.

We don't need 150W bricks 33W till 66W Max what do you think.

Nick Tegrataker, 01 Jun 2022Xiaomi advertises 80% after 800 cycles of recharging at 200... morethe number is rather believeable, i'm using Oppo Reno5 with 65w VOOC Charger. i use that phone as my main smartphone about 1.5 years until now, and i charge once each day since the day 1. so it's already about 400~ charging cycle, and i'm not feeling any noticeable battery degradation. it's last me all day and more since day 1. so with the improved technology from Oppo it very possible that the number is true.

Then basically recent BBK phones will recognize only 5V/3W with non-VOOC charger.

The VOOC charger is expensive in Indonesia (~US$35) for 30Watt in the service center and rare. Another ones would be counterfeit or uncertified products.

[deleted post]Are you saying that you're high class earner but needs to save some money just to get "almost 3-yrs old" Note 10? Are you kidding me.

In Indonesia, the ones using Samsung (Signature model) and iPhone dominated by upper class, ones that wants to be identified as upper class or recognized by their community.

Samsung (A series), Realme (BBK) and Xiaomi dominating middle class, for example IT engineers, some with managers.

Up to middle class we don't usually needs to save our money as we can buy it easily with our monthly salary.

We cross Sony and Huawei for inpopularities.

"we have the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE priced at €480"...in my country France 6GB/128GB is 700 euros and 8GB/256GB is nearly 800 euros !

Anonymous, 01 Jun 20223rd party chargers used with VOOC have speed cap, it charge... moreThis could be the case for this as well, actually. I have the 80w neo 3, and it charges really slowly with my anker 65w PPS power delivery brick (0-100% takes even longer than charging my 13 pro max, so definitely in the 1:30 - 2 hour range). I'm wondering if I should look for an oppo/oneplus 65w PD brick, since they more than likely share some charging standards. The default 80w charger is just a tad too bulky to carry around daily.

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2022BBk advertises same 80% of Xiaomi after something like 2 ye... moreXiaomi advertises 80% after 800 cycles of recharging at 200W, whereas Oppo claims to reach the same capacity after 1600 cycles at 150W. I'm pretty certain there's a huge difference between 800 and 1600 lmfao. On top of that, I find it very "suspicious" that you were fond of Qnovo's tech that wasn't supported by the actual number, but suddenly start to bash companies when they state the actual numbers of cycles?

"By the way, what is the point of 120 or 150 that never reach these values?"

The actual value is always slightly lower because that's the max wattage that the charger draws from the wall while charging the phone, not the power that the phone is necessarily supplied with.

"Which makes it reach those N cycles in shoter time like 12-15 months"
"I would never buy a phone with 5.000 that may have below 4400mAh after only 12-15 months"

1600 cycles = 4.38 years if one recharges their phone daily, but in actuality it should take longer than this for the battery capacity to degrade to 80% of the original since it's rare for one to drain the battery down to 0% every single day.
And if you're a lunatic who uses your phone so intensely that you empty its battery 4 times a day, then you should probably get off of it to treat your smartphone addiction first. Like, for real.
