Cloud storage in hands of companies of which you don't know what is done with your data. I'll go with the good old SD cards for very private data. Cloud storage is only good for risk free bullshit data.

I'm still not conviced by the entire flip carze. I had a brief moment with the Z flip and fold 3 and although they are nicely build handling the screen still doesn't feel anything like a normal candybar slab. It reminded me of handling the cheep smartphones with plastic screens of 2010 and later. Not plesant and not smooth. The dent in the middel didn't bother me at all so that was no issue for me except for the subjective feel of being fragile. Except for that less inviting experience there is also the price. Paying an humongeous amount for something that will hardly get you trough the day is not something I would do with hardearned money.
To me this are still gedgets for people who want to be seen with it. It reminds me of italian guys in the 90's that were walking around with their flipphones or super tiny nokia's, acting like they were participating heavily in a conversation while in fact they weren't. It was just to show others what they had...status...of sorts.
Of course the fold versions make more sence for people who use them as a mobile office. I do get that kind of usage but again, most people do the same without these foilable tablets.
Oh well, I guess that companies like Samsung are glad to have such kind of people walking on this earth to buy such gadgets (for too much money).

I really don't understand why people are so negative about new phones. Drastic design changes don't happen very often with any phone, it is almost always refinements or small design changes year on year. Most people don't upgrade every year so the people who got the fold3 wouldn't be getting the fold4 anyway. For me personally I got the fold3 and won't be upgrading until the fold6 which means the refinements will have equated to a bigger leap forward in comparison to the fold3.
You can see that while Samsung aren't really focused on the crease they are focused on durability which in my opinion is more important than a crease that really isn't as bad as people think. They clearly want to ensure the screen is tough enough to be used like any ordinary glass display, once they are happy with the durability then they will likely focus on the crease.
The battery does definitely need to be bigger and I think this is an area that they should have improved on by now but at least the fold4 has better cameras now, again a small improvement but enough small changes have been made here to convince new people to buy into the fold/flip line of devices which is the main goal, not for fold3 users to buy fold4 but to get new customers, more users than they already have, because Samsung really do believe they can make these types of phones mainstream, and the more overall customers they have the higher the volume of devices they produce will lower the price of the devices.

naap51d, 10 Aug 2022Nope, still too expensive. In an age of recession/depressi... moreWhile I agree the price is high and the screen protector could be better as my fold 3 has developed bubbles like most other Fold 3 users and needs replacing, I feel the need to let you know removing and/or replacing the screen protector yourself doesn't actually void the warranty, If you break the screen while removing and/or replacing the protector that will void your warranty. Just thought I'd mention it so you don't feel obligated to send the phone in to get the protector replaced or scared of voiding your warranty should you decide to remove it.

The crease on the screen is the least attractive part of these devices. They try to hide it in promotional pictures and videos.

Just pre-ordered a Flip 4 direct from Samsung. Traded in my Flip 3. Got free upgrade to 256gb, free case, and ear buds. Cost after trade in....$99! Worth the upgrade. Other than the pre-installed screen protector that peeled off after a couple months, the phone had no problems.

AnonD-1033007, 11 Aug 2022No, you praise these ,,new" features like it's su... moreOne month ago the Snapdragon 8 plus gen 1 was raged as the saviour to cure all mobile agony on Android, now it's "nothing new". One month ago, the battery life on the Flip 3 was raged against for pushing it to make it through a work day. Now it's "nothing" when they make sure it'll survive heavy usage during a whole day. The hinge tweak is making the bigger battery possible. It's a hidden upgrade that gives you hours longer battery life. The display durability tweaks are also pretty relevant on a device that is primarily known for its flippin' display. It's an expensive phone people wants to last for years and years. Definitely until the end of the software support cycle which is sometime in 2028.
Yes, it looks very similar to the Flip 3. That is is a good thing, as it is by far the best looking phone out there, any category. Why change something that good just for the sake of changes?
