Why no stress test to show throttling? Luckily TechTablets on Youtube tried and the phone simply overheated and closed the app! GSMArena should test this also.

Also this isn't a flagship, the 12s series are theoretically their refresh flagship devices and the 12s ultra absolutely destroys basically anything else in camera performance (like the mi 11 ultra and the mi 10 ultra).
This is the flagship killer or basically mid range series with top specs (think the original Poco phone or original Oneplus).

The 30 Ultra is in a different price category, the 30 Pro is in the same, even though spec wise the 30 Ultra and 12T Pro are more similar.
In short, the 12T Pro is the obvious choice, unless lack of wireless charging is a no go. There both Moto's have a clear advantage.

One of my family members in Europe has it and I wanted to get one but unfortunately it wasn't released in China. Had a great LCD screen, great battery life and the performance was great at the time anyway. The daylight camera performance and video performance was excellent. Basically, it got all the basics right. The 11t pro wasn't an upgrade at all (significantly worse cameras) but this phone I think is definitely an improvement on the 11tpro. Mostly the chip is a lot better but the main camera performance is also significantly improved.

I think Motorola should have launched an 8gb 256gb variant to bring the price down another 50 Euro alright. 8gb of ram is probably enough. Personally think both are a little expensive in Europe especially with phones like the Realme gt2 pro dropping the official price to €650 across its European markets next week and the Xiaomi 12 dropping to €649 in some European countries e.g. Germany. Anyway, thanks again for the explanation

We've based our research on the German Amazon website when it costs €700 and it's still quite a good deal for the hardware. €600 is even nicer.
And you are correct - if you match both the memory and storage of 12T Pro to the Edge 30 Ultra, the phones would be merely 50 euros apart.
However, the standard 8GB/256GB version of the Xiaomi 12T pro makes much more sense to get and the difference to the Motorola is already 100 euros there.
We just approach the comparison from different angles - ours is getting all this great hardware for the lowest price possible. Yours is getting the highest specced model and looking for its competitors. We've added the Edge 30 Ultra to the conclusion for completeness, but we still think the 12T Pro is the better deal even if you are getting a few features less.
