I think your comparisons often compare phones that are more than €50 cheaper/more expensive in reviews so it's within a reasonable range. You included the edge 30 pro as an alternative which is officially €599 direct from Motorola's website in European markets like Spain for 12gb 256gb. The Xiaomi 12t pro is €850 for 12gb 256gb which is €250 more, a far bigger price gap. Doesn't make sense at all based on your point

Our market analysis normally takes into account only closely priced competitors as usually people approach purchase decisions like that with a certain budget in mind.

Why is so difficult to just use a base 41 megapixel sensor RGB (no binning) and a proper size like 1 inch or 1.2 inch, and use proper lens and hardware OIS?

Then do binning via software, i guarante you have better colors, and rendition, those quad bayers look really fake even if not bad at all, the good thing they bring is amazing HDR capabiltiies.

They would rather use a ultrawide with no AF JUST to add a macro camera and hence hit "3 cameras" marketing target. And they would omit headphone jacks to make space for this useless gimmick.

This shows the people behind phone development in these companies have degrees in marketing and business and has ZERO knowledge in technology.

They provide a good amount of detail, they measure display brightness, automated battery tests. They provide real speaker samples. Full size photos are provided (but would prefer a greater variety of samples especially more non portrait mode people pics). They cover quite a lot of phones. They are still a good resource overall but the actual transparency and rating system could be more consistent

bard, 06 Oct 2022From the Xiaomi 12 pro long term review: "Next up, ... moreTheir reviews are very inconsistent alright. I'm convinced they do not have a rating system and the rating is just a subjective score which could depend on many things (e.g. who is doing and writing the review; whether they get review units feom the brands (sponsored review etc.). This is not a reliable method. Maybe they do have some sort of system and I am wrong but why not share it with readers if they do? Some other sites explain exactly the protocol and repeatability of their tests. Anyway, brands probably wouldn't like a 'repeatable' scoring system as they like to control the narrative when distributing review units. After all, the only reason they give out the review units is for marketing purposes

Pixel Binning can only do 1 times, so with this samsung 200mp sensor is natively 200mp binned to 50mp, because it can have 2 option

                200 binned to 50mp 4 in 1
                200 binned to 12.5mp 16 in 1 like samsung HM2

so for the camera 50mp is binned from camera hardware sensor where 12.5mp is binned using software algorithm

the 50mp output is same quality with mi12s ultra 50mp mode and even sharper in some part, from this i can say that no matter how good the sensor is if its using full res bayer mode it won't be sharp looking, although there are few exception (omnivision in poco x3 gt) this considering 50mp is only 1.28um vs mi12s ultra with 1.8um

the 12.5mp mode compared to mi12s ultra :
in night mode, because the sensor only output 50mp natively with 1.28um and it binned again to 12.5mp for 2.56um it lose to mi12s ultra in term of shadow, detail and black crush

In night mode again compared to same 8 gen 1 phones to find x5 pro, with imaging chip, the 200mp sensor stay ahead with brighter looking but a bit less sharp photo

I can say, the quality is impressive, considering xiaomi as usual have lower camera algorithm to competitor

another thing, you can use aditional wide lens with main camera to get 50mp ultra wide capture and the sensor in theory should capable 4x lossless zoom

bard, 06 Oct 2022From the Xiaomi 12 pro long term review: "Next up, ... moreSome would say different reviewers have different opinions.

Comparing the 200MP sensor between this phone and the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, I lean more towards the latter. Motorola didn't go crazy with the colour science. Also, it possesses fewer oversharpening effects than Xiaomi.

From the Xiaomi 12 pro long term review:

"Next up, we switched to the 'old' style (read: Android's way) of showing notifications and Quick Settings since we've grown out of love with the Apple-inspired split system that Xiaomi's been pushing lately - for one reason and one reason only: you need to swipe too much to the left of the top part of the screen to get notifications, and notifications is what we want to see, throughout the day, much more than Quick Settings toggles. "

                        This Review:
"The split between a notification shade and Control Center is enabled by default this time, and that's probably a good thing. We found it to be quite convenient, and it's a way to educate users about MIUI's unique approach to the UI."

                        GSMarena reviews are a joke.

If xiaomi giving the same price (cheaper hopefuly), this 12T series still will be interesting device.

Oops weaker battery than F2 pro, not as ad

The 200mp sensor is a gimmick. They should just went with IMX700 OIS for main, IMX700 with OIS for wide, and IMX700 OIS for zoom.

Compared to Moto Edge 30 Ultra in 200 megapixel mode, Xiaomi shoots some kind of mess ... We have to praise Motorola 😃

P C M, 05 Oct 2022How this one got these extra points over Motorola Edge 30 Ultra ?Strange alright. I think it's best to avoid paying attention to their scores and just look at the specs, battery life, screen brightness, camera samples and listen to the speakers. The reviews themselves can be very biased with little transparency. It seems to be just a subjective overall score with no system in place rather than a scoring system that is repeatable across phones

How this one got these extra points over Motorola Edge 30 Ultra ?

Really happy about the main sensor, screen, wifi, 120w charging and memory. Not so happy about the other cameras, usb speed and overheating issues. I was thinking i might upgrade my almost dead mi note 10 but i think i might wait for something better

Ginkoh83, 05 Oct 2022According to Xiaomi : 120 fps, 240 fps, 480 fps, 960 fps, 1... moreYes, but GSMArena didn't quite review it, no sample clips, nothing.

Now here's the truth:- in most xiaomi phones, artificial frames are inserted between the video and that gives its a smeared type look.
So, that 1920 fps is an actual, maybe just 120 or 240 fps, and rest all frames are fake, and it looks terrible...
