        Do I still have to re-enable 4k on the main cam every time after recording 1080p on the ultra wide?

          The design is a downgrade from the 11T. From metal frame and Gorilla Glass Victus to plastic frame and Gorilla Glass 5. Another thing is they've removed the macro camera and included a mediocre selfie camera as well. Terrible. You better go for the 11T Pro.

            Another 12T version with good LCD panel would be perfect. Holding back on purchasing the X4 GT because of its camera setup.

                    Its simple. I want nice cams for casual photos, just main cam, rest dont care. Plus i want good display and baterry life. Thats all. Dont care cpu or updates.

                      This is a decent allround phone. However the big con is the price. It is not competitive at all in Europe based on current phone pricing. For anyone concerned with price performance ratio it makes zero sense to buy this. You get basically a budget camera setup (the hm6 is the main sensor on the Realme 9 afterall. Although Xiaomi's optimisation and the better ISP do make a huge difference it is still probably the weakest camera hardware at this point. They should at least give an imx766 for this price). For 420 euro you can get a Poco f4 with double the storage (256gb verus 128gb) and the performance and camera performance are not that far off (you also get the added benefit of better gcam support and better video stability at 4k 60fps). From next Monday the realme gt neo 3 with the same chip, a better more expensive main camera sensor, and a Samsung screen is 480 euro for a 256gb version in Europe. If you want to buy the Xiaomi 12t with similar storage it costs 180 euro more which really can't be justified. This phone came too late. If it launched 6 months ago at the same time as say the gt3 neo this price it would be ok. Now it is simply not competitive price wise at all. Next year many phones at this price are also going to give you a snapdragon 8 gen 1+ and better cameras according to all the Chinese leakers so buying this phone at full price doesn't make a lot of sense. A probable con not mentioned in the review is mixed screens. TCL and Tianma are the screen suppliers. Review units most likely have tcl screens which are superior. However, purchasers will have pot luck as to whether they get a TCL or Tianma screen. Tianma have improved a lot but they are still not at the level of TCL. It would be an interesting proposition if the price was 100 euro lower but until they drop the price it doesn't make much sense in terms of cost effectiveness

If you do want Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, you may want to look at the likes of the OnePlus 10T, ASUS Zenfone 9, and Motorola Edge 30 Ultra to name a few. Speaking of Realme GT2, there is an Explorer Master variant with the updated 8+ Gen 1 SoC. 8+ Gen 1 smartphones with a headphone jack? Your only choice is the ASUS and ZTE nubia Red Magic. So really, it still depends on what you want in the first place.

If Mediatek can be more serious about long-term software support, it can easily be on par with Snapdragon.

                            12T is more expensive than F4 because of Xiaomi branding vs Poco branding.. also:
                            - Better color depth display and higher resolution
                            - Bigger RAM for their base
                            - Bigger resolution main camera
                            - Fingerprint under display
                            - Dual tone LED flash
                            - Bluetooth v5.3
                            - Double speed faster charging
                            - Tri band GPS

The problem for ... moreBut then again, smartphones with Mediatek SoC doesn't have a good track record when it comes to software updates and security patches. Maybe with this custom Dimensity chipset, Xiaomi will fulfill that three year OS update promise.

The problem for many manufacturers now are the chip shortage (after pandemic) and world economic situation (after war effect). That's why they can't sell their product at competitive price as before for their new product. So they cut / downgrade some of their spec rather than upgrade all spec from the predecesor. Just look at garbage 2MP macro instead of 5M from last year. They try to cut everything they can to make the price competitive but it will look worse from consumers who don't know about their real situation.

                                      Same dimension and battery capacity, and yet scored better battery endurance rating than the Pro version? I know which one I take, and it's not the one with Snapdragon SoC.

                                        Im waiting months and still dont know what to buy .. firstime i wanted Oneplus 10 Pro, but its too expensive and gen1 is not good, then i had GT2 Pro, but its not so good phone, so im still waiting .. these phones 12T and 12T Pro are so bad ... (cams, battery life, no ltpo display etc) ...
                                        so what to buy? Just need wait ... but Pixel 7 seems like nice crap too, i really dont know ...
