There should be a review of the capability to capture still images of moving objects in low light, given that many mobile cameras spend a lot of time in gathering light. E.g. pets or kids running indoors in low light.

The sequential speeds are all way too fast to notice any dropoffs. And Google's lowest number, 182MBs, is still dozens of songs a second and a 2GB video downloaded in 10 seconds. It's honestly like comparing 120hz to 240 hz. What's the point unless you needed the absolute best?

By the way, what is your opinion on OEMs that claim 800 charching cycles for batteries that are charged at 80/100/120/150/200/240W but batteries are tested at 10W outside the device?
This was revealed by Andrei F, that used to work at Anandtech and now works at Qualcomm. (Posted on twitter)
Captain gave lame excuse to justify . Need to know what's your opinion.

Despite aosp is so bland and lack too many useful feature that need to be downloaded and thus perform worse than inbuilt app in other rom (MIUI, harmony etc)even the pixel rom is lacking basic feature like double tap to lock in homescreen. This vivo rom i think is pretty decent looking and feature loaded not to bloated like MIUI (well i still love MIUI but not the poco version)

Nick Tegrataker, 11 Dec 2022Amazing battery life, flagship-grade display quality, decen... moreI think it's coz Vivo and Oppo operate completely independently in China. They don't share resources and have their own independent factories, R&D teams, offices and staff. Although BBK sits at the top of both, BBK is just a holding company and Oppo and Vivo are the two big trading companies within the group structure. Oppo and Vivo phones have never been that similar maybe apart from any ODM ones. Oneplus was always a part of Oppo's group of companies but Vivo has never been a part of Oppo. Origin OS is much better than Funtouch OS though and definitely has been very well received in China by reviewers and ordinary users. It's a pity they haven't launched a global version of Origin OS yet.

so if i understood correctly this phone has 8 gen 2 plus Vivo V2 ISP but it doesn't support shooting videos at 4k60fps with stabilization enabled? How is that even possible? Even my old Xiaomi 11T Pro had perfect EIS when shooting at 4k60fps. Now i own a Pixel 7 which also supports it even though Tensor G2 is not considered to be the best chip out there.

Amazing battery life, flagship-grade display quality, decent speakers + camera and great performance (if not the best from SD8G2) - Not much to complain about, really, at least from the hardware standpoint.
With that said, I'm still not a big fan of FunTouch OS. It's a very bland-looking UI so doesn't have many colourful visual elements that may confuse new users, but still keeps some elements from the Lollipop era (e.g. The toggle icon, the slider) for no apparent reason, when everyone else has already moved on.
Some panes such as those for specific audio effects use a white background instead of the very faint grey of others, and the notification panel has its own icon set that is completely separate from what is being used inside the settings menu - That's why the Wi-Fi, gear, user and magnifier icons all look different between these two. It really hurts my eyes to see the severe inconsistency of this Android Skin.
Why we can't have ColorOS on Vivo phones when OnePlus already has one (They call it OxygenOS, but let's be honest, its latest iteration is essentially ColorOS, but painted red instead of green) is simply beyond me.

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2022So, a 144Hz screen that rarely works above 60? 😂Read the article more carefully. If and only if you use the "standard" refresh rate setting, the refresh rate will be capped at 60Hz - other two modes allow it to go up to 144Hz in limited scenarios and 120Hz in most other cases.
The very purpose of having a dynamic refresh rate is that the display doesn't waste energy by running at an excessively high refresh rate when it doesn't need to. When you're barely scrolling and mostly seeing a static image, it can go well below 60Hz (say, 10 or even 1Hz) to save battery. When you start scrolling or playing games, it will ramp the refresh rate up to 120Hz to deliver smooth visuals. On the other hand, when watching a 24fps video on Youtube, it gets capped at 24Hz.

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2022Very good battery life, big fail SD card, audio jack, no thanks.Bro this phone can have up to 512gb of storage it's enough... And when you spend 750$ on a phone I think you have money to buy nice Bluetooth headphones, but I can agree with you that the headphones jack if a nice to have.
