This is not a regular phone. Every change can compromise the phone's integrity. Sam "upgraded" the hinge on the Z4 and there are already more reports of screen issues vs. December of last year. That's why they are rolling out incremental upgrades. A year is not enough time to thoroughly test upgrades.

This isn't a side project for Samsung. They expect the Z line to outsell their S Line. They know what is at stake. The other manufacturers are just in it for F.O.M.O.

      Hope they release this Globally, we need more competition in Foldables so that it move agressively again. Else even Samsung will be barely moving forward lol.

      But I hope Samsung release Z Fold "mini", more or less like this small form factor but a little bit Cheaper. I just like Samsung software (especially Dex mode) and long term support.

        I hope Oppo makes non folding version of same phone with same compact size with outer screen as main screen and same design, same dimensions when closed except thickness.

          Anonymous, 30 Dec 2022Terrible battery life, no SD card, no buy thanks.At the very least, you can still plug it in to a computer to move/copy files. Not as convenient, but it is still an option. (I wish iPhones had that luxury, but maybe it's just my school laptop.)

                Standby time pretty weak. Judging the playback + browsing + calling, it should be easily over 100h if standby was any decent.

                    Thickness has never been an issue in phones. It has only been a marketing issue for Apple.

                    As for this device, I like what Oppo has done, a lot. They sure took notes from Samsung errors, but they took their own spin and ideas on it and made quite a compelling device.

                        Why can't these companies just release something like 7.2" Mate 20X sucessor. It is better than foldable phones in every aspect.
