Otherwise the TUV tests would be performed at 200W, not 10W like it is done.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2023Battery life performance has improved a lot. Can any expert... more1) 30% less screen resolution
2) different OS
3) not full of junk running background
Apple chips do not need to push for basic tasks, like many android phones even using cores A78 for basic tasks cores a55 can do alone.

Darknoor, 14 Feb 2023I hate how popular tech reviewers over-sell this thing when... moreWhen a reviewer gets a review sample they are obligated to spin a positive review with only contrived "cons" allowed that first needs to be "OK'd" by the vendor. If that raises a huge red flag then it is exactly as bad as you think it is.
If you dont play ball with the unethical tactics by vendor you get on their bad side and face bans in the future for review sample on day one, which means lost clicks/views for influencers. This how vendors get the influencers in the their pocket's
This is a huge problem in the reviews process in the tech industry. The best way out of this is to not accept a free review sample. Buy the product yourself and then post your honest review but this also means you are not going to get them sweet first day clicks/views. In which case you need to innovate to differentiate from the rest of the day one review content to stand out.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2023If it is 54 outside, inside is way hotter Inside does not equal the battery. Here are two examples of fast charging and temperature effect.
Example 1:
Take a phone that can handle 55W of wired charging. If you use it with a quickcharger of 18-35W that uses the BMS of the phone it will be hotter than if using a 55W charger that uses the charger's BMS. Simply because the better solution generates more heat outside of the phone, as well as the time it takes.
Example 2:
You have two phones, one being the same 55W charging capable as mentioned above, with a design solution that very effectively transfers the battery heat through the display, as well as having a battery that is split into two cells.
The other one not supporting 55W charging at all and solely using onboard BMS and max 25W charging of it's single battery cell. Which phone do you think will get the hottest battery, and for the longest. I'll give you a hint, it's the single cell max 25W charging one.
It is to supply 25W to it's single cell for much longer than the 55W who splits 27.5W into each of the smaller cells of the first one. The in dual cell 55W this causes less heat to build up from both the charging itself, the reduced charging time, as well as the external BMS and the likelyhood of a phone is this battery caliber to have better solutions in place for heat transfer from the battery as well.
Smartphones are no different from other devices when rapid charging. Having a superior solution (battery chemistry, dual/multiple cell, external BMS, graphene etc.) means that one can both charge faster and strain the battery less then a competitor with a worse solution.
This is why manufacturer X can have a battery that should retain 80% of it's capacity after 1600 charging cycles on a fast charging device, whilst manufacturer Y is down to 80% after only 500 charging cycles on a much slower charging device.
Also, the rated 55, 65, 100, 120W etc isn't constant. It is just the peak.
Again, the same as other fast charging devices - including cars.
Key phrase: "Charging curve"

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2023I'm not a troll. You are. I see you make comments and ... moreListen here, I'll take slightly worse battery life with much, MUCH faster charging over insignificantly superior battery life with slow, prehistoric, 25W charging.
Cameras? Wut? Vivo for photos, and Samsung for video recording. I've been saying this since forever but go ahead and ignore this fact.
I keep my phones for a year (max), so why should I care about software support? The Vivo has been getting updates frequently thus far though, so there's that.
As for stylus, not everyone finds it useful... For me it's a gimmick but eh.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2023Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition Charging test : https://yo... moreA well designed fast charging phone will make the outside of the phone hot, as it transfers the heat away from the battery. That is one of the key point of making a phone that can charge fast. As well as using external BMS in the charger that also creates heat, rather than using the phones built in BMS, which was more common before when slow charging.
If you want to worry about the battery you should be looking at the battery temperature and for how long it is warm. Also using casings and/or screen protectors that trap the heat is not good. Worst offenders are the wallet type cases, that insulates the phone all round. The bare minimum one should do if using such a case is to fold it open during charging, so that the heat doesn't get insulated.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2023Even 120W charging gets your phone constantly too hot. &quo... moreTop tip, when fast charging you WANT the outside of the phone to get hot.
It means the design of the phone is good as it transfers the heat from the battery and out.
A bad design is if the outside of the phone does not get hot, because the heat is trapped inside causing the battery to get warm.

[deleted post]I'm not a troll. You are. I see you make comments and upvote those that have any reason to hate Samsung. Your Vivo X90 Pro+ isn't going to cut it with its smaller battery, not with its camera, not without desktop mode, not without eSIM, not without WiFi 6E, not without more software support, and definitely not without S Pen.

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2023To all people who are STILL complaining about headphone jac... moreI'd say it depends on the feature that gets left out. A swapable batterie is something that has influence on several things e.g. it usually made a phone much easier to repair beside the possibility to swap batteries in seconds or make 100 % sure that the phone is off.
An expendable memory is the much cheaper way to get memory space. For me, who does not use any cloud backup of one of the data business companies like Google, MS, Apple,... its a must. I have my complete phone backup on the card. If you shoot a lot of 4K stuff like me its also great to have a 1 TB card.
The gr8 thing of wireless headphones is that they dont need a battery which needs to be replaced. Had my in ears in 2 times within the last 1,5 years for battery change. My next ones will have cabels. Since i have an experia 1 iv i have that choice.
Having such features give you more freedom of choice. I dont like companies take that away from me.
