Great design, form factor and weight. If it would have the S-Pen I directly would buy it. The S23 Ultra is too boxy, too heavy and has still the ugly curved screen. Unfortunately I do not like compromises for such amount of money... Again waiting for next year...

Actually liking the simplistic design of the base s23 it kinda reminds me of the s7

I really don't think the photos from the main camera are "stellar, flagship-grade stills". There's a weird colour cast, loads of noise in parts, and blurred details.

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2023Nothing racist about the statement. Chinese is a nationali... moreI said what I said because plenty of other Chinese phone makers also use lenses made by Chinese lens manufacturers and their phones have better lens quality than Samsung's. If you skimp out on the optical design or QC then you get crappier quality components regardless of whether you're purchasing them from manufacturers in China or in other countries.

Chinese is a nationality and a race which you've conflated. It's like saying American cars are junk compared Japanese cars. It's not racist against Americans, but critical of their cars. Same goes for Chinese phones.

On the old S-series you can choose lower resolution like 1080p if you whant battery but at least you could also choose 1440p if you whant quality.
Why on earth will you pay that kind of money to have mid range screen and mid range ram?

I prefer the 1080p resolution on the +. 1080p is perfectly fine for a phone screen and anything higher is just a waste of battery in my opinion. I do think the + should have a little more going on in the camera department. If not the 200MP in the ultra, how about the 108MP from the S22 ultra?

Unfortunately, the S23+ is a bit of a unicorn. It's an Android flagship with a big bright flat screen, wireless charging, good (but not great) cameras and great battery life available in the US. As tempted as I am by the Oneplus 11, the lack of wireless charging and the curved screen are not worth the $200 I could save if I got that instead of the S23+.

Can you do a battery test with the light mode turned on? Tests show up to as much as 40% less power use at the cost of 10% performance. If true, an absolute must use feature if one doesn't care about running Genshin Impact at the highest framerate, like 99% of the people.

Would love to know if this settings allows the battery to shoot up to the moon with 155h endurance rating. Would be insane.
