Why didn't you compare it with Xiaomi 13 Pro ?

Processing of detail/noise (in Hi Res) is better, but it feels like contrast is worse. Is it a lens issue or software one?

How fast it charge with PD/PPS protocol. I don't know why you don't test for that.

Ottonis, 18 Feb 2023Using the image comparison tool, the output of the Vivo X90... moreYeah, for photos the detail is not very high looking at the phot comparison tool. Dxomark commented on this too and the x90 pro+ got a much higher score for detail (wonder if the dimensity chip is affecting this) . However the x90 pro performed much better on the video test in the dxomark review than the the x90 pro+. I think the photo and video compare tools here match pretty well with what dxomark said in their review. I have been using the Vivo x90 for the past 6 days and it has similar style processing. Photos are nice without cropping in and sharpening is very reserved but daytime photos also are really not strong on details if you crop in. Nighttime photos are brilliant though and the regular x90 also has very good video performance especially in lowlight. I think it's probably down to the v2 isp which is very good in lowlight. The sports capture mode is amazing on the x90 series too. Even at night you can get reasonable photos of moving subjects using it. The post processing seems to be able to remove almost all the noise despite using a very fast shutter speed in the sports mode.

Using the image comparison tool, the output of the Vivo X90pro is quite disappointing, when compared to phones like S23 Ultra or the Sony Xperia 1 m4. The details are washed out and color reproduction and tonality is also not up to snuff.

Is it even globally available? The only pricing provided here was that on aliexpress. Yes, this phone is cheaper than the latest flagships from Samsung and Sony, but it just doesn't make the best use of the 1" sensor, which is quite a disappointment.

The lack of longer focal lengths (beyond 50mm) is also a bummer for a cameraphone flagship nowadays.

Those are some of the cleanest and most natural photos I've seen from a smartphone camera

Anonymous, 18 Feb 2023Chinese phones have done this since 2014Cough, cough, and samsung? you haven't done it right? 🤣🤣🤣

Manooj, 18 Feb 2023From the front looks like a 250$ phone. From back like 50. ... moreall phones look the same from the front. weird complaint.

Anonymous, 18 Feb 2023D9200 ruined this phoneThe reason sd 8 gen 2 is good its because of Adreno Gpu and other Qualcomm exclusive things like Modem. But Cpu its still bad and power hungry.

D9200 have that Bad cpu + Immortalis Gpu which consume as much as 12W, thats why you see heavy throttling, even Samsung look Good compare to this Vivo Throttling even Though likely Vivo has better Cooling.

Horrible edge, curved display. The worst ever trend in smartphones started by Samsung, even worse then notch.

everything is good just battery life isn't.

X90 Pro will be a great buy in Europe, if it is priced well. Can't wait to try it out in person.
