Good thing that they are promising 3 years of OS support and 4 years of Security patches.
If similar policy is followed for other models, definitely will bring back the Motorola ( now Lenovo) to the market as a preferred brand.

Have used Xiaomi, Oppo, Oneplus, Vivo, Honor, Huawei and Motorola in the past. Honor and Huawei don't support Google services on the Chinese variants (any variant for Huawei) but the others have been fine for me. Just some Chinese in the system. Actually, I think Motorola has the least bloatware of these and least Chinese in the system. It comes pre-installed with Google services but not all the Google apks so you just have to download the ones you want and they work fine (some third party resellers might add the Google apps though before shipping)

S23's official European launch price was €949\€959 for 128gb. The z50 price you quoted is the Chinese price as this phone is only available officially in China. Comparing a Chinese price with a European price makes no sense as everyone knows European prices are way higher. You can get the Chinese version of the edge 40 pro (x40) for €530 (12 gb 256gb). It's more expensive than the nubia z50 alright but it has higher specs as well. The nubia z50 is a great value phone though in China but like I said it has only been launched in China so it makes more sense to compare it with the Chinese price of the Motorola and Xiaomi phones

                  Xiaomi 13: $715. Still overpriced though. Ever since Xiaomi started thinking they were some premium company they started jacking up their prices.

                  S23: $656. Still overpriced. Specs are too underwhelming for over 600 bucks. It only has the 8 Gen 2 going for it and that doesn't justify the price at all.

                  S23+: $828. Still overpriced. Arguably even worse so than the regular S23. The battery isn't horrible this time around but the price got jacked up by an absurd amount.

                  Oppo Find N2 Flip: Yeah a thousand. But every flip phone is terrible. They have all the disadvantages of a notebook style foldable yet zero of the advantages. They aren't any more pocketable than a regular phone, they just get twice as thick when you fold them. Who the hell thinks a 16mm brick is more pocketable than a regular phone. I've never had an issue with the height of a phone in my pockets, but I have tried putting two in one pocket and that gets uncomfortable due to the thickness, which is exactly what happens with a flip phone.

                  Z flip 4: $659 but same story as the other horrible Flip.

                  ROG Phone 6: $623 but it's a horrendous gaming phone. What's the point in buying a "gaming" phone with an outdated SoC that makes the "gaming" phone worse at gaming than cheaper non-gaming phones.

                  iPhone 14s: Does not exist. Was that a typo or something?

                  Huawei P60 Pro: Yeah $1200 and it's insanely overpriced. Ever since the US pulled their nonsense, Huawei hasn't really made a good phone.

                  Huawei Mate 50 Pro: Yeah a thousand. And same story as the P60 Pro.

                  ZTE Nubia Z50: Holy hell you're deluded. Last time I checked this was literally THE CHEAPEST 8 Gen 2 equipped phone. It's an absolute steal at only $490. That's less than half your nonsense claims. I mean even the Z50 Ultra is like 40% cheaper than what you thought the vanilla Z50 was.

                    We might as well tack on phones with 1080p mutations since they're also not truly 1440p, that brings to the list: iPhone 14s, Huawei P60 Pro, Huawei Mate 50 Pro, ZTE Nubia Z50.

                    But I guess they're not overpriced for not having 1440p screens right and costing 1k, right?

                        Its Motorola x40 so it has google installed on it already before shipping so i guess that is good

                          I will not be buying a moto again. If timely software updates is a priority then don't buy a moto device ever! I am still running Android 12 on my moto device. Also, moto days that they never announce the dates for any Android version rollout. Pathetic software update system!

                            flop, 07 Apr 2023Price is very off-putting, but if you ignore it then its a ... moreIn UK it's £799.99 with a charger and case in the box ...S23 plus is £1049 with nothing in the box I think the price for the Motorola Edge 40 pro is very good ...compare both phones the Motorola Edge 40 pro is better than the Samsung S23/S23+ and cheaper and the Samsung S23 and S23 plus have camera blur problems at the moment that could be a hardware issue

                              I like the new graphs in the brightness of display section

                              So a little step in updating your review style

                              But you guys can do more

                                Price is very off-putting, but if you ignore it then its a really good looking phone, in both OS and physical looks, very clean and minimalistic (unlike other big name brands)

It's known for years that iphones feel smoother than Android phones. Just use an iPhone 14 and a 60hz Android phone side by side.

                                        While other brands were giving android between december-february, samsung used to give in april.
