But actually even more problematic is that there is no official statement/document/resource from Samsung actually promising anything specific for A34 (or A54, for the matter).... they are being very vague about this, referring to "selected phones" and so on.... So "vague" is actually euphemistic compared to the reality.

Hi all. Please help me choose between Samsung A34 and Redmi Note 12 Pro. To my understanding, they are very much similar. Samsung probably will be supported for 3 years, meaning I can get Android 16. Xiaomi offers faster charging and a bigger screen. In my area, Samsung now offers free buds headphones as a bonus, but no charger in the box.

I'm quoting from the review: "which is quite an ambitious goal, but also very vaguely worded".
What is vague about Samsung's statement?? They will update the device for 4 Android generations which means this device will eventually get Android 17 and 5 years of security updates from it's launch date.
I don't see anything vague there...
Samsung should be praised for this move and not criticized!!

Well you see, it will be always like last year.
A33 no AOD, A53 yes AOD
A34 no HDR10+, A54 yes HDR10+
So A35 might have HDR10+, but it is next year model, so...

Do not buy one. Samsung introduced the app Game Booster. You cannot delete the app and it controls ALL your installed games. If you love adds and dislike playing games then this is for you, if you prefer the game buy an alternative. There is NO escape!

But potential buyers (reading this review) do want to know!
Could you please ask Samsung for an official statement on the matter (for their other phones too, especially A54) and report the response (or their refusal to respond) so that we are better informed?

Hhh, 11 Apr 2023The battery charging results we see here are quite strange,... moreHey @GSMArena, it seems that you changed the battery charging results by reducing the reported time to full charge by a lot, like 30 minutes !
While thankfully you've put a note saying "Update, Apr 12: We've updated the charging results below based on further testing.", the note would more appropriately mention *what the changes were*, too.
We'd also appreciate some explanation about it too: was there some mistake in the testing, some update delivered to the phone, something else?

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2023Is this better than a Huawei Mate 20 pro camera and speed wise? Yes, of course it is. That Mate is way too old. I guess the P30 Pro still has a better camera, but definetly not better perfomance.

A34 is Best For Games Than A54
