It is sad that we had so many innovations and improvements over the years but we are still at the state where a "flagship killer" priced phone from the maker who made the OS is unoptimized and stuttering.

In Canada, it doesn't really make that much sense. on Amazon, the Pixel 7a is $70 less compared to a brand new Pixel 7, and it's ~$40-50 cheaper if you're buying a Renewed Pixel 7. Even a Pixel 6 Pro is cheaper. I'm just confused.

Very weird and incorrect for the reviewer to say "This renders the more expensive Pixel 7 pointless." If anything, the 7A is more pointless because of its price. The Pixel 7 is regularly on sale for $540-550. For a few bucks more, you get better build quality and cameras. GSMArena needs to do more research for the main review.

I think this looks like a great phone for the price, especially with the free case and buds offer. I use a Samsung, but am considering switching to the Pixel. The size and cameras on the 7a suit my needs well and fits my budget better.

Pixel 7a has worse screen to body ratio than the Pixel 6a, why? smh!

I persoanlly feel that Pixel 7 is a much better buy compared to the 7a. Whenever it goes on sale it will come under the $500 mark and you can just get a flagship instead of a mid ranger. Also with this price hike, I believe Google will definitely raise the price of the Pixel series next year by $100 or more.

Are you sure that the main cam has a 26mm focal length? The exit reports a focal length of 5.43mm which multiplied by 4.5 is 24.4 or hwinfo reports 25.4.

I ordered Pixel 7a , but after reading the reviews I cancelled the order. I thought Google will learn from Pixel 6a issues but it didn't occur. My Nokia 7 plus is working without any issues even after 5 years of usage.

The display has bad PWM. Exynos (Tensor) with poor modem and power efficiency. Google has good software, but it feels like they don't learn from their mistakes. After some time, 7a will be sold for the same 300 USD because no one needs more expensive. The worst thing is that there are not many alternatives.
Google has all the opportunities to make decent and high-quality smartphones that could compete with Pro Apple, but they don't use them. :(
Partnership with Samsung is a fiasco.
