Sony Xperia 1 V review

Solid review, I'm most likely going to get this by the time it's out or maybe the PRO-I ii, if that gets announced before I decide to upgrade.

It's a bit harder to get in the Canadian market, but hopefully one day Sony can officially sell it here.

Imx989 does not have this tech, it is too slow.
Ceramic scratches easier than glass, also way heavier.

Absolutely love the "unholed" display. Just a 3mm space on top and on the bottom. Hole/Pill/Notch/etc... problem solved

When they copy apple, but can't even bring hi res...
After seeing 50mp, 200mp, multiple hi res sensors in one device on plenty of brands even years back, this feels really nostalgic.
I wonder if they have seen the difference... 12mp vs 200mp.
12mp is great for videos tho, its like zv-e1 in a phone.
            I prefer a7R line tho.

Great review. I'm going to pre-order this thing to replace my Mark iii as I want the battery battery life, added 5G bands for the US, and better thermals.

Great work Sony. Wasn't a perfect reveal but ticks all the boxes I need (with the exception of leaving out mmWave but at least T-Mobile doesn't 'need' it).

Low light video quality doesnt even come close to S22U let alone S23U.
