I've had this phone for a about 2 months and I can say I'm very impressed with the ui/ux
Overall the phone is more than enough for social media and daily use
The battery lasts about 1 day and fast charing is crazy good with it taking half an hour for about 50% battery juice
The screen is very good for my taste and is very bright outdoors.
However some bugs that make it impossible to use the phone due to it not fully waking up and the processor gets stuck at like a very low clock speed but fortunately it has only happened maybe twice in a period of 2 months
I recommend this phone for anyone looking for a good, entry level phone with a decent price !!

lgrpenuka, 18 Aug 2023what do you guys think, after 4 os upgrades phone can be s... moreThe difference is A12 had a Helio P35 (A12) or Exynos 850 (A12 Nacho) and both of those are old slow chipsets, P35 having only A53 cores which are from 2012 and 850 only A55 from 2018, this G99 has 2x A76 cores and 6x A55. Atleast the 6 and 8GB RAM models won't get really slow

https://news.samsung.com/my/your-galaxy-a24-... morewhat do you guys think,
after 4 os upgrades phone can be slow down, before a24 I owned an a12, it was much faster in the old days, but after 2 os upgrades now its lagging lagging lagging ...,
I think this will apply to all budget phones, at this time a24 doesn't have any problems, but after 4 os upgrades I am probably sure this one will slow down,
so what happens if we pause updates, I want to know your opinions so please reply

The only real problem with this phone is the speaker is very quiet. Samsung should upgrade its speaker quality or put stereo speakers

An excellent phone at this price tag. It offers ample storage, along with an SD slot; a 3.5 mm headphone jack and NFC. More open than an iPhone; I would recommend you buy this one. (And did I mention a 3.5 mm headphone jack?)
Personally I have noticed that there is a trend with smartphones these days (especially Android based) for them to have exorbitant RAM. Is it because of the inadequate GPU's the Android OEM's (nd System on Chip) uses?
This may have caused these crazy price hikes on modern smartphones. (As a result, they cost the same or more than a desktop computer.)
I may still be old school; but why would a smartphone OS [in this case Android - even the Samsung Galaxy A24] need 4 GB of RAM to run? Usually that amount of RAM would be reserved for desktop PC's. (And OS's)
And now (Android) smartphones need 6/8 GB of ram to run - the same as a fully featured gaming PC.
Am I missing something here? Wouldn't I rather just get a normal PC for a cheaper price tag? Lord forbid, even a Playstation 4.
These devices use micro computer processors less than a laptop; so I don't understand.
Perhaps (Android) OEM's (and hence the SoC's) could improve the GPU so it does not require so much system RAM.
Maybe then we could compete with the iphone.
I would much rather pay for a thing that can play decent games at such a price tag (looking at Android smartphone market trends.)
I repeat; I have never heard of a micro processor(s) that needs pplul58 GB to run

I just noticed this, but why does it say no 5G is a problem? Can't you see it's literally called Galaxy A24 4G? They're obviously gonna release a 5G variant later.

enpy, 12 Jun 2023Efficiency is output/input, not duration of work. The 8100 ... moreAmoled is efficient only if you display dark colors, when you display Bright colors its not as efficient as lcd. Like browsing if you forgot to turn on dark mode and let white colors dominate your screen lcd is better than Amoled.
Both D8100 and E1380 have A78/A55 when you play Video or browse internet you barely use Much Cpu/gpu so more powerfull cpu dont consume more power than what is needed and you can see E1380 has like 40 to 50% advantage between those phone, even if its true about capacity the difference is like 5% doesnt explain why it lose that much.
You guys wants to hate on Exynos and will try to find all Excuse in the world than admitting E1380 is efficient soc.

Hemedans, 05 Jun 2023You are welcome to prove,
https://fdn.gsmarena.com/imgro... moreEfficiency is output/input, not duration of work. The 8100 is much, much more powerful than the E1380 at the same power draw. Not even close.
Besides that, the of course the A54 has better battery endurance rating than the X4 considering that:
1. It uses AMOLED while the poco uses LCD, the test includes video playback where OLED screens are much more power efficient.
2. Poco was running Android 12 at the time of review, a notoriously unoptimised version.
3. A54 uses samsung batteries, which tend to be higher capacity than Xiaomi 'rated capacity' that is actually 4860MAh at most
