Is the EIS for the video recording something that can be added with upcoming software updates? Or is it a hardware thing and thus just not possible?
Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm certainly no expert in these technical things, just a guy who thinks video stabilization is important. Deal breaker even.

OnePlus have done a sterling job here, finally. Most notably excellent work on the minimal bezels and overall dimensions, especially compared to the lazy design of the Samsung A54 - fatter despite a much much smaller screen.
However, I'd hardly call this "Flagship-grade performance". My several years old Oppo Find X3 Neo with SD865 outpoints the Nord 3 on both single and multicore Geekbench results (not to mention having three usable cameras including telephoto and decent selfie camera).
Notwithstanding the above, the Nord 3 looks to be one of the most impressive OnePlus phones for a very long time.

I would personally pick the vivo V27pro over the Nord3.

Endurance rating is a bit disappointing considering the battery size. 110hr should be absolute minimum I think
