not worth buying. i checked the camera comparisons and the pixel 7 and pixel 7a blow it out of the water. i dont trust nothing as a brand yet either. they said they would not turn into oneplus, but their second phone is already this expensive. AND WHY IS THEIR CPU DOWNCLOCKED EXACTLY LIKE THE 7+gen 2 cpus????? i smell something fishy.

If you're not comfortable with faster charging you can still use a slow charger but it's always good to have the option for faster charging when needed.

... moreMy 10W Charging Moto G5 reached 38°C while Charging and my 125W Edge 30U that most of the time charges at 80W reaches 35°C (Somehow 43°C while turned off with slower charging speeds on the same charger), and the Pixels also get hotter than OnePlus with 80W.
A phones does get hotter the faster you charge it, however, not every phone generates as much heat from the same Wattage as the others. Xiaomi and Pixel devices tend to get the hottest.

Advertise 240, but never reaches 200.
Then after couple minutes go down to 150.
Funny that all chinese OEMs are client of batteries makers, none of them make own battery. Still advertise same. What a coincidence..
Have you noticed that phones with slow charging like 12-15W never get hot while charging but phones with 65/80/120/150/240 do?
Why chinese phones do not stay below 35 celsius while charging like phones with slow charging?
Heat is being produced and harms battery.

The only deal breaker for me to a less extent is the flat screen "I like curved screens smooth on navigation gestures" & the placement of the under display fingerprint scanner too low "Googles positioning is better." It is what it is, you win some fast charging lose some bad under display fingerprint scanner placement & woosh flat screen. 🤞 for Pixel 8 pro I just hope it comes with faster charging 65W minimum but highly unlikely would be a deal breaker too. No buy!
Now waiting for next year for Nothing Phone 3 & Pixel 9 pro with:
1. 65W minimum faster charging it's inevitable
2. Curved screen
3. Better placement of under display fingerprint scanner
Waiting for 1-2h to charge a phone in 2023 is a BIG NO 30min tops is ideal

It seems like a decent all-round phone, though based on other comments, it sounds like the primary camera might not be as great as this review suggests. It certainly has a very decent Sony sensor though.
The main issue with this is the price. I see no reason to choose this over the alternatives, especially when you compare the price of the Pixel 7a (even if its bezels are huge).
