Why is the Flip 5 front/outer display shaped like an folder? That design has no purpose.
And forget about the camera samples ( nowadays smartphone reviews focus too much on these ) what about the inner display and how durable it is for other touches than silk gloves and how bad is the crease?

I still do not find the current foldables compelling:
- Thicker, much thicker to hold or in pocket.
- Phones are mostly used single-handedly, which means that most of the time you use a narrower, thicker phone.
- The unfolded screen is still too small for comfortable long-term viewing, given the choice of a tablet or a monitor.
- Price (it does matter).
My guess is this is why Apple is not in this space yet, and I think it's wise.

During the presentation Samsung said for the Z Fold5 that the telephoto was 10MP and you say 12MP

BUT .....I can still BLATANTLY see the large crevice in the screen in your photos 🥺.
I'm not even interested in "folds" until the crease is neither visible nor feelable (well, not as bad as at present anyhow).
I'd rather see a proper LARGE SINGLE SCREEN like my old Huawei Mate 20x...
Come on Honor (nee Huawei 🤣).

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2023in case you dont know math, the area increase exponentially... moreYes, but most of the screen won't be lit, and the pixels used will generally be the same for text and graphics. The power draw won't be exponential.

Just another boring presentation. No need to change your fold4 or a Galaxy watch 4/5 to a new one. Another big disappointment. Just make the square watch or something rectangular... At least it's something new for Samsung. Last years I have very strong feeling that soon I will switch to Apple after 10 years with Samsung.

My sons 5ro with it's way bigger battery needs constant charging, am not sure I want a 40 hrs watch while they could had made it with either same battery or even bigger. Samsung had to ruin it because they can get away with it! Next year!!

LOL, very funny Samsung. You brought back the rotating bezel on Watch 6 classic with an ugly design and a cheap looking strap. I am very happy with my original Galaxy Watch with elegant rotating bezel purchased in 2018. Battery backup is very much better with Tizen OS and gives me 2 days on my LTE Model till date. Also all watch faces work perfectly as it is proprietary OS of Samsung. Very let down by Samsung's lack of innovation of late. Wear OS is a gamble with functionality and battery drains. Samsung has sadly not achieved anything with this release of the Watch 6,

Will all of these have the same screen green line issue right after their warranty void?

Magnificent Suleiman, 26 Jul 2023Another forgetable year for Samsung devicesSeriously, they are regressing hard. Especially in tablets . In 2019 they had a tablet at less than 1lbrs (now all are more than 1lbrs, which -IMO- makes them too heavy for frequent tablet use) weight, *greater* pixel density and basically basically same amount of ram (the most important metric for every smoothness) as most models of this year' (8gb). That's 4 years ago!
And while their tablets lost the important stuff (screen density, weight), they gained in all the unimportant ways. Great visibility outdoors (a very niche use, phones are used outdoors), IP rating (again, very niche for tablets), jumbo screen size (any thing over 11-12 inches is Laptop territory, it's a waste of time to use a table at those size).
They pretty much regressed in everything that makes a tablet great. And gained in everything that is secondary or trietary use. Tab S6 / Tab S5e remains the pinnacle of tablet making from Samsung.

The Fold5 is basically the same, apart from the gapless closure, there's no improvement in the crease, no bigger battery and the same weird form factor. Is Samsung just recycling now?

Meh...i would like to be excited about folds and flips and whatever but i can't be excited about this. Next...
PS: oh and the price...i mean don't they see the time of asking big sums of money for devices are coming to an end? Even apple had to lower their iphone base prices...
