Smart watches are most unnecessary pieces of tech. Just a distraction for the mind. Plus pollution of environment because these are basically thrown away after 2-3 years of use.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2023Terrible battery life, not for me. My Huawei gt2 it's ... moreEnjoy your Huawei band, sorry smartwatch LoL

ECG and Blood Pressure measurement CAN be hacked to work on non-Samsung devices too, I think XDA had the packages.

The first installation on a non-Samsung phone is truly awful. I wish they didn't put people through such hoops and also limit some stuff on Samsung phones altogether. It's such a nice device in general.
My biggest unfortunate gripe is that I seem to be severely allergic to something on the back of the watch AND the band, no idea what that is, but I get this with most watches, so probably nickel.
Not sure what it could be on the band, cause my wrist was very widely red and then skin peeled off, so clearly the reaction was severe. And this was just from wearing it for like a day.
Might have to see if any smart watch has replaced stainless steel with titanium on the back of the device. I know some are at least partially titanium.
A bit sad to throw away 400€.

People complain a lot about battery life but I wonder if they understand the psychology Samsung (or any other smartwatch manufacturer for that matter) has behind the watch battery - it is practically a mini smartphone on your wrist, and at no point of time (except for some special circumstances) would anyone be away from a power socket for more than 2 days.

I'm trading in my Watch4 for the Watch6 Classic because I'm getting a sweet trade-in deal and don't want to pass on it. Prior to wearing the Galaxy Watch4, I used to wear a Fitbit Versa 3 which would last for about 6 days before requiring a charge, but it's functionality was severely limited.

Hey, tech writers. The only ones who cancelled the Classic model were you. I see, you're now repeating that not-learning thing by assuming this is replacing the Pro model. I guess it'll have to wait until next year for eureka moment?

I'll elaborate a bit. It isn't a crime having three different watch models, and I would expect they'll expand the portfolio next year.

It is a pass again. If you come back with a watch with rotating bezel and 5 Pro size battery then we may have a deal. Dual e-sim support is also important. I have dual-SIM Samsung phone, a single e-SIM watch just does not make me interested.

So I woke up at 4:20 AM after the watch alarm start vibrating on my wrist! After 30 minutes the watch show me how much I slept...today it showed me as I woke up at 4:29 AM!!!!And is not the only error on sleep tracking, not the first one, this is just an example!I don't know how Samsung can claim as they improved the sleeping monitoring when the watch is totally upside down comparing with the reality!I had Watch 4 Classic,Watch 5 Pro and now Watch 6 Classic 47 mm but all are the same, same errors, nothing improved. For more info is a youtube guy ,called "Quantified Scientist" who do proper reviews about smartwatches and sadly Samsung watches are rated very bad as sleep score, heart rate during exercise.Huawei smartwatches are more accurate!

I don't use AOD, wifi is off, bluetooth is on all the time. Rotate to wake & tap to wake is off on my watch 4 classic. At 100% battery, I wear it for HR and sleep tracking and I get 2 1/2 days of battery life. And that is with a lot of daily notifications. I turn it off when I get home from work around 5:30 pm, and it gets turned back on when I hit the sack about 10-10:30pm.

I would like to see a 24 hour dial and, of course, the moon phases. First you want to have functions that cover the mechanical watches and then you can have the extra functions.

I like the funcionality a lot but the design seems a bit boring to me compared to Watch3 41mm silver version which I have. The beautiful silver/black combination they did really looks nice and with Watch6 I'd have to settle for only either silver or black.

Bad battery life, inaccurate sleep tracking, inaccurate heart rate, oxygen monitoring, Samsung is not serious about smart watches.

Sorry, but what you have written about “body composition measurements” is rubbish to be very polite!
You have written: “It's highly inaccurate, … and quite inconsistent depending on the amount of water or food you've consumed throughout the day.”
You get also inconsistent results if you make exercises before your doctor measures your heart rate or blood pressure with professional devices. Would it be correct to say those professional devices were inaccurate, or the way the measurement was done was wrong?
The body composition measurement is actually VERY accurate when you follow the rules. Are you interested in good results, or in complaining about the results just because you do random measurements during the day?

Good Watch but I think Samsung should go for a more formal look with Watch7 like Huawei Watch 4 Pro, that thing is a design masterpiece
If Samsung does make it happen with Watch7 I might buy it cause I'm really interested in the look of Huawei Watch4 Pro but I don't want HarmonyOS (or whatever it's called) and 1 day battery life with all things active js good enough for me

Akarius, 18 Aug 2023The only laughable thing here is your understanding of wear... moreAnd you can't understand the difference of active and passive battery consumption!
It is completely unacceptable for a smartwatch battery to deplete completely in 1-2 days when you literally do nothing with it except checking notifications and use normal set of sensors for health tracking (not even AOD)! Go and Use Samsung watch 4 or 5 or 6 and you'll see what I'm talking about

Another downside - no support for QI charging, can be charged only via samsung phone or proprietary charger. Huawei, for example, can be charged by any QI charger or by reverse charging from any phone.
                                  I hate this practice.

I get 2,5 days battery life on the 6 44mm, with AOD turned on during the day.

Nice watch, but main problem is that ECG, IHR and Blood Pressure measurements work only with Samsung phones.

i ll just stick on smart band (huawei), it has 7 days battery life, simple, thin, light weight, and the functionality just right for my needs
