        It's a $100 phone, any proof where is your A14 got 4 years? The A14 5G isn't a $100 phone btw, it's $200.

Show me their official update policy on their entry level models. Xiaomi doesn't care about updates, and they left many older handsets with unpatched buggy MiUI.

And show me update policy of Tecno.

Meanwhile, even the lowly Galaxy A14 5G will get at least 2 Android upgrades and 4 years of security patches, officially stated by Samsung.

they give IPS from Pova 4 Pro with AMOLED? I don't know if this is a downgrade or upgrade.. This phone should have 5G support.

I bet Tecno is just doing the bare minimum to get GMS certification, which is 2 years of quarterly security patches. Actual OS upgrades are not mandatory by Google. There's no free lunch. For those looking for better software longevity, nothing beats Samsung.

The phone is great, update support is poor though.

Not-so-important fact: Even though XOS and HiOS have a very very similar looking UI, turns out I just noticed that their Control Center looks a bit different in terms of design (the icons are the same), where tbh I'm kinda prefer XOS' at this point.

                    Comparison:

OS, you mean how the UI looks or features that available on it? It's a pure user choice, considering some people like their phone has more features, while the rest likes something that looks more clean like Stock UI, so that can't be considered as pro or cons.

Not sure if you plan to review, but Moto G54 looks like a solid option around the 15K price segment, better than this. Dimensity 7020 chip, 6000 mah battery, 50 MP camera with OIS and most of all, stock Android. Maybe that phone has the capability to overtake this phone in terms of battery life as well.

                            Cons: No ultrawide camera.

Atrocious battery life is a deal breaker

Great performance, unorthodox design, ok screen quality and fast charging, all as I expected, but I'm very disappointed with the battery life. 😔
