I own this phone and was very excited about it. It was great especially at this price, unfortunately after falling from my pocket the screen was smashed to bits. I have no clue what kind of fine crystal this made of but it's definitely not strong at all.

            Hello!

I would like to know if the camera has been improved since the phone came out? E.g. stabilization during video, etc. Or how is the camera? I had a plain Edge 40, but it's the same as a Samsung S20 FE. Does this really have a worse camera?

            Thanks

For all the specs, the Edge 40 is "Neo" only on the way higher price tag, while EVERY single spec (except the battery size) is watered down from the "plain" Edge 40. I feel cheated out.

The Motorola edge 40 neo is not a bad phone per se, but the so&so update routine provided by Motorola leaves a lot to be desired

Oh, did I mention that it released in 2021?

Imagine buying the equivalent of a 2021 midrange phone at the price of a 2023 midrange phone. It's stupid, right?

Well, that's exactly what you're getting with the A54.

That and installing GCam on this phone improves the cameras a lot, especially with skin tones.

What I would like to touch on, though, is that OneUI has become a bloated mess over the years that is in no way better than software from competing brands.

**Reference to Gorilla Glass removed from Motorola UK website**

The Motorola UK website has updated the listing for phone. The words 'Gorilla Glass 3' have been replaced with 'NEG T2X-7' (Nippon Electric Glass).

Two of the 1 star reviews on the webpage say the glass is easily scratched.

You've written you are completely disappointed by the phone and the build quality and that it fails on multiple fronts but you don't list any specific reasons.

Could you be specific on why you are disappointed?

I regret to say that my experience with the Motorola Moto Edge 40 has been nothing short of a complete disappointment. This smartphone, in my opinion, is subpar and does not live up to the standards one would expect from a brand like Motorola.

The Moto Edge 40 is a glaring example of a cheap and poorly designed mobile phone. The overall quality is substandard, and it fails to deliver on multiple fronts. From the build quality to the performance, I have encountered numerous issues that have made me regret my decision to purchase this device.

Furthermore, my interactions with Motorola's customer service have only added to my frustration. The lackluster support and unhelpful responses I received from their customer service team have left me feeling completely dissatisfied. It's disheartening to see such a renowned brand provide such a lack of care and consideration to its customers.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against purchasing the Motorola Moto Edge 40, and I caution anyone considering a Motorola product to think twice. My experience has been far from pleasant, and I would urge the company to take serious steps to improve both their product quality and customer service if they wish to maintain their reputation.

This has been an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience, and I hope that my feedback will prompt the necessary changes to ensure that others do not have to endure a similar ordeal.
