Anonymous, 06 Oct 2023Dude you can't say it's "more efficient"... moreLast pixels also used older ARM cores (v8 vs v9 now), older node (5nm vs 4nm now). There is no doubt that performance per Watt has improved.

Anonymous, 06 Oct 2023more efficient what??More efficient SoC.
The Google Tensor G3 is expected to be more power efficient than the Tensor G2, due to a combination of factors:
Smaller process node: The Tensor G3 is built on a 4nm process node, while the Tensor G2 is built on a 5nm process node. A smaller process node allows for more transistors to be packed onto the chip, while also reducing power consumption.
More efficient CPU cores: The Tensor G3 uses newer ARMv9 cores, which are more efficient than the ARMv8 cores used in the Tensor G2.
Improved GPU: The Tensor G3 has an improved GPU (based on RDNA3), which is expected to be more efficient than the GPU in the Tensor G2 (based on RDNA2).

I disagree. Redmi Note 10 Pro has a much smaller punch hole.

I wish Xiaomi would've used the same 200mp HP1 sensor, same sensor as the 12T Pro. The HP1 produces excellent detailed photos at 50mp on daytime, and excellent night time photos at 12.5mp 16:1 binned. They should've just improved the autofocus, exposure, and software processing, and upgraded the sensor for the ultrawide.

Lugia4k, 06 Oct 2023I kinda don’t understand this comment, because the pixel 7 ... morePixel 7 scored much better in web browsing and video playback battery tests than this Xiaomi 13T Pro.
Pixel 8 has smaller screen, bigger battery and more efficient SoC, so I'm confident it'll perform even better.

I tried the 13T Pro. I found that the build quality was not particularly good. Not very bad either, but the backpanel and camera module made creaking sounds when pressed upon. Other than that it looks like a very good phone.
Gsmarena states that the camera doesn't have a macro mode, but this is not true. You can actually take macro shots as close around 2 cm with the zoom lense.

Marek , 06 Oct 2023Sorry xiaomi marketing wizards = where is the 2,600nits of ... moreGsmarena clearly state in their testing procedure that they are not able to test peak brightness to get the numbers smartphone manufacturers market. Often times in HDR mode and it is peak, not sustained and it's typically a smaller window not fullscreen. Same as for TV manufacturers and their marketing. Nothing unique to Xiaomi.
The HBM is as expected.

Marek , 06 Oct 2023Sorry xiaomi marketing wizards = where is the 2,600nits of ... more2600 Nits is the peak brightness and even iPhone's couldn't reach there too. The screen can give 2600 Nits only a part of the screen. It's a marketing tactic but not a lie.

Marco M, 06 Oct 2023The 13 Pro is also a higher tier phone at a higher price. .... moreYes, of course. I was just replying to your explanation of the battery life being worse than another phone due to the higher resolution screen. It's more down to the processor than the screen, that's all

8+ Gen 1 is considered as a power hungry soc (standard 8 Gen 1 is) and screen has less nits
And with Dimensity 1080 some devices are horrible and some other are very good (realme 10 Pro+ 149h, Redmi note 12 Pro 97h)

Some trade-offs must be expected. It doesn't change the fact that the 13T Pro is a great value for those whose budget/need/interest does not reach into 13 Pro or Ultra class.
