I can tell you one thing: The M3 Macbooks will have issues with thermals just as the M2 ones did, simply because Apple wants those things as thin as possible even when that means cooling is becoming an afterthought.

I know that many of Sony's mirrorless cameras lack an anti-aliasing filter which creates more of a sharper image, and this sharpness is entirely thanks to its sensor. Maybe they did the same thing to their phones?
Idk I'm just speculating, not sure if anti-aliasing filters exist on phones to begin with.

I'll take a game of chance over an awful crease any day.

Super Android 22, 20 Oct 2023Why would you wanna pay the same for the fold if its a wors... moreI can find the Fold 5 512GB for 1550 €. It’s more likely to get offers on the Fold than on the Open. Oneplus Open gets just one more hour in the battery test with 400mAh more, not really stellar performance. You’ll be using the camera for social media in most cases so the Fold 5 is more than good enough. You get IP X8 on the Fold, wireless charging (some people use it), an S-Pen option, polished software for foldable features, more accesories on the market, no punch-hole on the inner display and (most importantly) better service coverage (you can walk a mile from your home and find a GSM repair service that works with Samsung officialy, in case the screen decides to crap the bed). The Open looks better, has a wider outer display and you do get a charger in the box but that’s kind of it. There’s too much competition on the market for it to be selling at 1800 € (Pixel Fold, Samsung Fold 5, Honor Magic Vs, Huawei Mate X3) and the flip phones (whole other form factor though) are getting better and sell for less (Oppo N3 Flip comes to mind).

Sorry not to come across as an insult, but the guy at 8mins in this review video, is he blin? I went to school with someone born blind and their eyes are not formed like most people, and his looks similar.

I wish foldables was the new norm for a smartphone . I'm a college student so it would be nice to have a phone i could easily turn into a tablet

Considering that the One+Open uses a SoC that very soon will not be the best/newest in the market anymore (SD 8 gen 3 is around the corner), one can expect its price to get down significantly in the upcoming months. Once it reaches 1500E, the Open will arguably have the best price-performance ratio among all foldables.

MKBHD tested this phone......certified for a million folds....dead pixels on fold area after 3 weeks...ill stick to my Z Fold5. I trust Samsung far more than these BBK spin-off companies to be honest about durability.
Good luck getting hardware support when things go wrong with this device.
