Anonymous, 19 Oct 2023Inferior compared to what 1v can do. Anyway, interesting ... moreI would say Open's main camera is FAR superior to Xperia 1 V's results, with more natural-looking details and less noise. It's frankly ridiculous that OnePlus managed to make such a huge leap in terms of image quality to the point that they literally surpassed their own flagships (OnePlus 11, or Oppo Find X6 Pro if that counts) in almost every single category.

ashrobb, 19 Oct 2023Please don't forget to add standby numbers more clearl... moreI think the standby component is gone completely, as it is largely dependent on cellular coverage, cellular type, Wi-Fi strength and various standby/sleep optimizations by the launchers that sometimes work, sometimes don't, and yet it usually had a big say in our final score. But let's wait and see, just a few more days. Also, nowadays it is always between 200-240 hours for most phones anyway. If it's over 300h-400h, then it's not realistic, because the phone goes to deep sleep, but no phone would realistically go in deep sleep, because let's be honest, we don't leave them idling for long.

Plus, we are prepping a whole new battery life test, which we will introduce very soon! :)

LoneOwl, 19 Oct 2023The best Oneplus device of 2023 is Nord 3.
Highly compet... moreIt's not more in most markets where severe carrier discounts arnt available. Where I am from there is absolutely no discounts to be had with the Fold 5. You are paying 2000€ and thats that.
A lot of people have been asking for a competitor to the Fold5. The OnePlus Open looks to be a fine foldable and if it wasnt for the lack of pen support, I would definitely consider it over the Fold5. But if I give up wireless charging for a better aspect ratio, I'd likely lean towards the Honor V2.

Kaloyan, 19 Oct 2023Nobody is paying money for reviews, come on… Our Pixels, wh... moreIt feels more like Google delayed the supply of Pixels to reviewers so people would all put in their pre-orders (which ended Oct 16) without having many reviews to make a proper judgement.
Combine that with "accidentally" blocking Geekbench for a few days...

max anyone would want to pay for One Plus fold/open is -30% of the release price. Other wise it is not worth a buy.. rather i would go for Samsung Fold 5 ..

Its interesting, but Id find it hard to go for a foldable with no stylus support. Also feel it really priced itself too high considering its a newcomer with not much against the Fold5 other than non-shit cover screen aspect ratio.
I feel V2 would still be my favourite, but I dont think I wanna buy it when it comes way too late

Ngl OnePlus is kinda lucky Xiaomi and Vivo hasn't made their foldables worldwide yet and Samsung is the only direct competitor or else, it would've been DOA with that starting price...

The best Oneplus device of 2023 is Nord 3.
Highly competitive at its price point, with top notch performance(bested only by 7+gen),great cameras, display and fast charging.
The Oneplus 11 on a discount is also a decent option, maybe the Oneplus tablet too.
This Foldable though is pointless at this price range. I would understand if Oneplus made their first try on the foldable market with something cheaper closer to Z Flip.
Who the hell asked for such an expensive foldable from Oneplus?
Who in their right mind would pay more for this than the Z Fold 5?

Wow, seems to be a really good product. I didn't have too high expectations, but this is great. Made me think if I'd upgrade from OnePlus 11, but the price is kind of limiting that urge.

[deleted post]Nobody is paying money for reviews, come on… Our Pixels, which we ordered from Amazon, arrived yesterday because of shipping mishaps. As you can imagine we had the OnePlus Open more than a week ago. Believe me, if we could make proper reviews for just a day - it would have been awesome. But the battery test alone takes about three whole days.

Inferior compared to what 1v can do.
Anyway, interesting to see base iso 64 , while sony can shoot at 25.
