Anonymous, 03 Nov 2023I hope that they can improve the periscope camera for the P... morePixel 8pro or Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra which better??

My pixel 8 pro runs fantastic I love the haptics.Purchased for 350 new from Argos 128gb model and running android 16 beta 2 it's brilliant and functioning perfectly.Battery Life is good for me six hours screen time a day and the camera is amazing, the options to adjust photos are fantastic.I love the colour pop filter you can apply and moving images are amazing of my kids running and smiling. Its well known you never ever buy a Google pixel at launch you wait 12-18 month and get it one third of the price and after all the updates have made it fantastic. Then you trade it in after 24 month to get amazing discounts just before a newer model is launched.

CamoGeko-XDA, 12 Oct 2024There are a lot of more other capable cameras out there but... moreMy Pixel 8 Pro takes excellent sharp crisp images never have any issues with image quality at all.

It's not worth to buy. Cause pixel 8 pro has so many problems with wireless charging. Wireless charger is very bad quality and have charging problems. You can't charge with any wireless charger but only with pixel own charger. What's the point??? Can't charge in car, or in another places. Also Google haven't fixed software problem, have problem to turn on battery sharing, just can't turn on. And I researched, this was common many user had same problem. Battery pack is big, but it's draining like crazy. So sad, Pixel 8 pro is failed product. Also it have bad fingerprint sensor, I spend money for good screen protector and now fingersensor don't work. It's so annoying. For those reasons feels Pixel 8 pro cheap and usefulI product. I can say Don't waste money, and buy something better. I have owned Pixel 8 Pro, and Im returning device.

I wonder why didn’t they shoot human photos with tele lens? 🙄

Also, the Vivo X100 Ultra's periscope camera has an effective lens diameter that is even 55% larger than the effective diameter of the 7 Pro's periscope camera. This means that regarding diffraction, it would theoretically make sense to make a 120mm Quad Bayer periscope camera with even 110 megapixel.

Anonymous, 04 Mar 2024The Xiaomi 14 Ultra's periscope camera has an effectiv... moreIt'd be fascinating to see what Google can do with a 1/1.56" sensor for the UW and telephoto and 1 inch for the main cam. 1k USD for this phone at 128 GB is laughable. But if they made a 1300-1400 USD phone with those specs and a 512 GB base storage or at least 256 GB base storage I think there'd be a strong contender in the camera front.

Anonymous, 08 Dec 2023Since the Pixel 6 Pro, Google has changed the periscope cam... moreThe Xiaomi 14 Ultra's periscope camera has an effective lens diameter that is even 43% larger than the effective diameter of the 7 Pro's 116.5mm 48 megapixel (probably 48.8) camera. This means that theoretically, regarding diffraction, it would make sense to make a (116.5/120)² * 48.8 megapixel * 1.43² = 94 megapixel 120mm camera.
It would be really fascinating to see a 94 megapixel 120mm Quad Bayer camera in the Pixel 9 Pro, but that's just a wish.

If you're connected to some small carrier that makes you climb up half a dozen providers before you get to the backbone, or you live somewhere in the hinterlands of the planet, your internet connection will be delayed. For a Note 3, for a Pixel 8 Pro, for a dual-CPU power desktop - the delay isn't in the device.
