    In 2021 i switched to Poco X3 NFC and Poco M3

    I was using Oppo A5 2020 and Oppo F11 before that also at my home there was a Samsung C7, Oppo A5s, Oppo A31 in use of family members and

    Poco phones had worst 4G / wifi reception and speed among all these devices. Even the Samsung from 2016 could do better 4G than X3 NFC despite having a much less feature slower modem on paper.

    And wifi reception, my wifi routers are setup to cover whole house due to Security cameras, smart tvs, wifi capable air conditioners and other smart stuff all working properly yet only with poco phones I could discover weak reception spots. 😂

    And i wish they didn't provide carrier aggregation in Poco X3, it can't handle one band and with 2 things went haywire in terms of speee and stability unless I was outdoor with clear line of sight to cellular towers. I'm glad the carrier I used with x3 nfc didn't, Poco hadn't licensed the compatible Carrier aggregation band combo from Qualcomm (band 3+8).

But yeah, any sub-$600 phones shouldn't have any problem with having 7+ Gen 2 SoC. If Xiaomi can make a 14 Lite using the 14/14 Pro camera hardware and 7+ Gen 2 SoC, that'd be an interesting combo.

            Poco has been facing motherboard issues with its phones with the earlier models and have provided 2 year warranty for this phone. I have had a Samsung with Exynos 9611 and am acutely aware of the issues.

              The Poco F5 was for sale this weekend at around €279 in Europe. This was a steal...

                I dont know why other brands dont use this SD 7+ Gen 2... like cmon dont use again those midrange exynos or hungry mediateks to make a 400$ phone when you can make this little monster.

                  Also Nord 3 is in a price range where you need to compare it with F5 Pro that is a bit better performance with SD 8+ gen 1 while the 7+ gen 2 is downclock from the 8+ gen 1 with also a bit weaker gpu too.

                  And to compare Pixel then you need to wait for at least a year when it's price drops to the range of 550 euro so you still dont get this long period or support when you get the phone as 1 year old

If you never use samsung like s22, iphone, you would never feel it. To me it still good haptic but and vibrate not so much just slightly worse than that flagship

                      I don't know if this is relevant to anyone but my wife just upgraded to this phone from her previous Huawei Nova6 5G (on my recommendation) and she says the cellular data responsiveness is way way slower than her Huawei.

                      We do reside in China and so I suppose most radio masts here probably use Huawei or ZTE radios. Which let's be honest, are also used a ton around the world. Just saying that Qualcomm maybe isn't on par with some other brands when it comes to reception, signal quality etc.

                      Other than that the phone is excellent. The Redmi version is remarkably affordable here and the "midrange" chipset wins over the sd8g1 plus by a nose in most benchmarks, except for the graphics and modem department. It isn't really a midrange chipset. It seems to me it's a rebranded sd8g1plus chip. The midrange successor is way slower so by that fact, Qualcomm basically admits it turned out way more powerful than they wanted.

                        love my poco f5 so far,

                        using it alongside with 11 lite ne 5g, mi9t (legend + custom rom), redmi note 8 (custom rom), mi11i (aka k40 pro in china)

                        it's been a blast using these phones, love every single model I'm currently using

                          Shit phone. Network problems. GPS inaccurate. Just not a good phone for daily use. Camera is good, but not good enough to be a secondary camera phone because the flaws make it not a viable daily driver

                            Poco F5 and Nord 3 are by far the best mid rangers (performance wise) at their price range for 2023, especially since Google made Pixel 8 way more expensive.

                            I personally prefer Nord 3 for the better camera quality, 3years of OS updates,better android skin(not a fan of MiUi), and for the brighter display.

                            Samsung A54 is this years joke performance wise. Samsung once again disappoints on their A series performance wise.
                            Exynos 1380 is a joke compared to Snap 7+gen2 or Dimensity 9000 from these phones.
                            4major OS updates are awesome on mid range(probably first android company on this category/price),but Exynos 1380 isnt ideal for this.

But i got the 8GB RAM version of Poco F5 in black as carbon fiber texture just like the F1 had even tough the F1 was nicer with matte finish and larger pattern.

                                  What is this dog shet you people talk about ? There are no small phones in budget to middle class as all are around same 158-163+ mm tall phones with 6.4 inch or larger screens. There just is no option in the price range of up to 500 euro to get new just released phone that is small. there are only flagships like Samsung S22/23 or Iphone 14/15 that are under 150mm tall.

                                  People end up buying large phone is cause there is no choice in the market for small phones if your not willing to spend more then 500 euro to get the 1 year old flagship or new flagship phone. It's just is not a people choice if you have no choice. People end up with large phone is cause there is no option and they dont have money or dont see the point to spend more for a phone for just the feature of more compact in size. All redmi note series are either 6.67 inch screen or 6.78inch screen so how do you get them as more compact ?

                                  Only smaller phones with android are Samsung S22/23 and Zenfone 9/10 while Zenfone is stupid expensive cause it has only 2 years of software support and only good thing over S22/23 is that these have 3.5mm jack while have smaller screen size on the same body size of S22/23 It's just not worth it over Samsung that give you 3-4 years of software support while also S22 price drop to 550 euro now while still have 2-3 years of updates left compare to get Zenfone 9 that is like 700 euro and maybe 1 year left on software support.

                                  It's basically only reason to spend more on a phone is to get longer software support

                                        Well at least this chipset is being used by one manufacturer. Everyone else seems to be avoiding it when consumers want to see it instead of the 695 all the freaking time.
