Miui seems ok and im used to it and the oneui. So i think its fine to use any phone for that matter for many years. It depends on how you use it. Only problem is my sot only 3 hrs. I dont want to replace the battery because someone wants to buy it because its still in original and pristine condition.

      Xiaomi/Poco phones look good on paper, but longevity wise will suck if you end up with a buggy MiUI(HyperOS) update and your device is in the tail end of support. You will basically end up with a phone that is technically good in hardware, but very frustrating to use due to buggy OS that will never be fixed.

      I only recommend Xiaomi/Poco phones to those who are comfortable with custom ROM. For regular users, I would even recommend Oppo or Vivo first (despite my hatred towards BBK) than Xiaomi. As much as I hate ColorOS/FuntouchOS, they’re actually in better shape than MiUI.

        This review trashes the vibration motor / haptic feedback. Can any one of you who uses the phone confirm this? All other reviews mention the reverse, i.e., the haptic feedback being flagship level.

          Great review. I just bought the redmi note 12 turbo in the 16gb ram, 1tb capacity yesterday during 11.11 and I’m really excited to receive the beast in the mail. I basically only bought it in such a high capacity so I can download in high res lossless/standard lossless, all of my Apple Music Library.

                    Camera is weak in low light, pics look grainy.
                    Ui and other performance is good as compared to other phones in the price range. I bought this phone just for gaming.
                    Yeah the ui suks a bit. It's good that we have opacity control for app drawer or the phone ui would have felt like a black and white brick. Atleast the icons are having well cutout logo and the animation are quite fluid. Wish the homescreen walpaper would move a bit to left with each swipe to side panels revealing rest of the wallpaper. Left news feed is perfect as it is. I did switch to the other launcher which came along with the poco launcher but the settings tab was broken and some ui elements were not working so I switched back to poco launcher.
                    This phone is good for gaming as it can play almost any game on Max settings provided with the game along with tweaking the performance and other aspects in the game mode to save battery or get good performance out of the chipset. This phone was ment for gaming and not for pro photo shooting.
                    At this price point u can't expect the manufacturer to roll out updates on time even if they have large market and sale numbers of their products.
                    Don't know if more improvement can be made on camera output as it is dependent on sensor and lens but they can use that extra raw processing power on the chipset on poco to put out good images like Samsung and Google had done with their phones.
                    The multitasking and windowed app feature is very helpful when using apps that play video and pause if u switch to another app. U just need to keep the video app running and click and app from the hidden menu u turned on in settings and select any app from there. U can resize and position that app anywhere on the screen while your video playing in background.
                    (Idk why but the cache clear app just suddenly produces 1-2 GB of cache magically from somewhere whenever I open it for me to clear it even after not opening any app since last cache clear xD. I think they made it because people tend to think launching rockets in phone suddenly boosts their phone performance and clears the junk. It's the rocket syndrome people having from the junk clearing apps from app store which doesn't even work)

                        It's great to see you guys review budget phones but man you are seriously late with this one so I'm no going to bother to read it because I seen many reviews already.

                              this model is just a rebadged note 12 pro 5g with better chipset and weaker camera,but its price is almost twice the price of the note though

                                  I waited for the Moto Edge 30 Ultra for sooo long, I bought it, it was a letdown. I tried the F5, started using it as a daily driver and never looked back. Camera is nothing special, the feeling in hand certainly not the same. But from a user experience point of view it's miles ahead.

                                  BTW it's curious that you havent mentioned a major bug of the F5: pocket mode doesn't work and we are still waiting for a fix. The proximity sensor is there and it's a real one, but it's not getting used for pocket detection.
