Agarth, 19 Jan 2024In hands-on review is still 19.3 aspect ratio. From Note 10... moreThe 19,5:9 ratio is fine for 6,5" phones and up. Comming from someone who hates these pathetic sony ratios. Everything cramped in a narrow screen that is very longish weird. I dont have little japanese hands

Why camera of the s24 and s24+ not upgraded ?

paranoid365, 19 Jan 2024That's so hilarious the person telling someone else to... moreStart travelling then my guy. I'm always in different countries and this feature is super useful

HaHaHa 555, 19 Jan 2024If you travel frequently, live translation is very useful. ... moreThat's so hilarious the person telling someone else to, "Stop being self-centered. Think", is the person guilty of being self-centered! 😂 If you took the time to actually think instead of talking you would realize, (I hope), that people who travel are in the minority, not the majority. So the original complaint you were replying to was very valid, and something I agree w/, as would, "the majority".

Today, i got a hands-on with s24 Ultra, and I came out impressed, but as i was playing with it, the rep told me most the devices on the hands of reviewers are on early 2023 revision of the kernel, and that is most likely the culprit in most of the bad camera woows, Samsung rep told me a crucial update will roll out on 30 Jan to iron out most of the bugs, also most of the AI features were not working, samsung disabled it in our device, and would not allow us to work with it.
I also noticed that the screen is not as sharp, and texts were blurry, but gpu drivers are still not optimized.
Here is a kicker the device supports wireless audio with With 192khz, and boy it sounded
incredible, it has an onboard Gen7 ISP from Qualcomm, this will revolutionize audio on the move.

Worst issue was it gets noticeably hot, during genshin impact, but ran smoothly.
Ran a geekbench test and the scores i got for the device was lower than Asus ROG 8.

Last note, the S24Ultra has apparently 2 varients for snapdragon gen3, and depending on the market there is one superior with an overclocked CPU and GPU.

I''ve returned an S23U due to bad cellular coverage in areas where signal is weak. I use to go in the forest and have marked places where I know I get one signal line and can talk. Compared with Iphone 14 plus / Huawei Mate 20 pro, devices able to keep a cursive call, with no interruptions, S32U displayed "no network" frequently and if I managed to call, conversation was awful, interruptions, voice cuts and so on. I was happy with S23U on mobile data transfer, X70 modem is great. But basic phone features for me are very important and add weight in my decision (buy it or not). I saw Iphone 15 Pro Max has signal issues and rumors saying titanium case may be the reason for that. I'm looking forward for a review focused on signal/antena/cellular coverage for this beauty. All the best!

Anonymous, 19 Jan 2024I wonder which languages are supported. I use the S-Pen... moreFor translation features, I run into this: Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese
              Likely they add more later.

What's the minimum focus distance of the periscope? I'd say that on my Pixel 7 Pro it is roughly 1 meter.

What is with the display? I remember having Note 20 Ultra and then buying Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, immediately noticing a better display than Note 20U and were surprised. Then buying Vivo X90PP, also a better display than S23 Ultra (also Xiaomi was better than S23U, don't care if S23U was brighter, the color and simply watching at display in practice, both were better than S23U).

So what is this imagination that Samsung has best displays?

And why are Mi 11 Ultra and Vivo better displays? Does that 1B colors makes that difference that i am noticing and it's more pleasing than Samsing displays?

I"ll wait it out a few months, particularly for this exynos release.
There is always a bunch of people on German ebay ready to sell theirs in an unopened box on the German ebay.

Just wanna ask though, I'm not a phone expert, but for a user like me that only play light games and scrolling through social media and seldom does heavy things on the phone, is Exynos chips good enough for me? Because the comments section makes me think Exynos are seriously underpowered.

justasmile, 19 Jan 2024Except for the overheating chipset...Is overheating if you stress the chipset for long periods of time in heavy tasks. In normal scenarios the phone is quite ok. As far as I saw (I don't have it, just from other people).
But I get your point, Exynos chipsets are worse than SD counterparts.

Image quality is yet again over sharpened and lacks details mushy and noisy. Come on Samsung

You don`t have to think if you aren`t using a feature, the whole rest of the world isn`t using it as well. Stop being self-centered. Think.

Wanted to upgrade to S24+, but with Exynos there is no reason to change my phone. Probably will pick up a S23U when prices drop.

That's going to be pretty tough for Samsung. Not only is there no reason to upgrade from last year's models, but even new customers have no reason not to save money and reach for the S23 series, especially in Exynos-infected countries.
