Got mine today for 100 EUR and bonus Xiaomi Redmi Buds 4 Active. No 5G where i live, not a gamer, so for me is fine. At 4 years of usage my Redmi Note 8 Pro is going in drawer still in perfect condition (no scratches, 2 days battery life).

Right now the device costs about 210$. And no other phone at this price can give you camera, design and sound this phone gives. Most cost effective mid ranger in the world 🌎

The biggest disadvantage of daily use is the placement of the fingerprint scanner, which is way too low but with time I've got used to it. Ads in the MIUI are also annoying, but you can't have a phone this good at such a price point without sacrifices. Overall, the phone is great, and I'm going to enjoy it for at least 4 years from now on.

I think the biggest question is:
Where can apps cannot be stopped?! The review mentions that most can be stopped, but that suggests there are still some left. Where? Can you please share more details?

Look at the full size 200MP photo of Vitosha Hall and ask yourself why the camera is not able to resolve the round holes in the window blinds. If the full resolution of the camera sensor is not available due to binning behind colour filter, what's the point with these photos upscaled from 12.5MP ? If upscaling is used, why not go for something more impressive ?
Imagine the marketing: Xiaomi launched the first phone producing gigapixel photos!

Mediatek should have upgraded the LTE modem for the G99.

One question always strikes me whenever multiple variants of Xiaomi's Redmi/Poco budget phones are reviewed:
"Why can't they simply combine the best of each of these mid-rangers and create the ultimate Redmi and Poco mid-range value smartphone as one, with the Redmi and Poco HyperOS takes on each, respectively, instead?"
Because surely, this phone's camera and audio hardware, if combined with the Redmi Note 13 Pro+'s build materials and quality, and Poco X6 Pro's SoC, would make for an unbeatable mid-range king.
Something tells me that Xiaomi is actually cooking this aleeady, and will be represented by the Poco F6 Pro banner for Poco, and I believe it is the Redmi K70 Pro for Redmi. Who knows, but how I wish they didn't split these great hardware among multiple variants.
