🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 Samsung going downhill 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
1) In 2023, 50% of the revenue generated by phones sold were from iphones.
2) Average selling price of galaxy: $288. Less people buy their expensive phones, then samsung needs to increase prices to make more revenue. And cycle keeps going.
Just as curiosity, the ASP of other: Apple $890, Xiaomi $256, Vivo $204 and Oppo $160.
Now you understand why best phones of BBK do not make out of China. Volume of sales is too small even in China.

My find x5 is more pixel than my old 6 pro just i have more useable features and customisation options (if i so choose too make it more unique to my personal taste).

My lg g5 with the sd821 (quad core phone thats almost 10 years old) actually runs like a 2023/24 low end phone (doesnt lag up), just notice slightly longer load times for pictures and apps (slower storage and ram), thats vs old pixel 6 pro and my find x5 (probably about the same as a low ender so does daily tasks just fine)

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2024Sometimes it is even an advantage when you don't want ... moreWell DONT get a samsung or apple phone then, they are the phones you get more money for when stealing and selling. People will look for their camera and body designs and will simply ignore other brands (most casual public dont even know about the likes of xiaomi and oppo so if they see a phone they will instantly look down on them/ignorant to them).
That and you want a £1100 (or £50+ a month for 3 years, minimal data and an upfront cost, thats insane to go for) phone that looks exactly like the brands lowest priced phone, i mean samaungs style is plain and boring as it is (really nice colour schemes though), why we paying more for less? I wish it was mid 10s again when companies put more effort in and tried new things.

Batteri Voltas, 03 Feb 2024A lot of people still think of stuff like MT6580 or 6735 wh... moreWell thats stupid thinking then. That would be like going "oh when i think of AMD i think of selling consoles mid range laptop custom jaguar cored SoCs from 2011 and buldozer cpus for desktop" when ryzen is their lineup now and usually more competetive than intel with just as good, if not better core performance.

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2024You made sense until you brought up the feelings. I don... moreWell android is the most useful for all round purpose, ios is only really more beneficial if you are fully in the apple eco system (i know this from my mate whos a lead web dev who owns an iphone, ipad, macbook and 5k pro XDR display, otherwise android (and specifically huawei) is a far better experience, UI and about the same inter conectivity.
Also if we're talking about "safety" with the os then you have it completely the wrong way round. Apple has had what, 4-5 security breaches/data selling stealing over the last 10 years (latest being over the last month or 2), only people close to beint as bad is Samsung (again multiple issues with backdoor hacks of their security chip) and pixels (samsung manufacturered chip) with their web browser being closed source and essentially being spyware lol (rest of android really isnt an issue for security, ive never had an issue after 14 years on it)

Where's s24 Ultra? You seriously hadn't received your unit till now, GSMArena? It's been 10 days since the phones been available!
IDK if you're understaffed or sth, but I reckon clear lateness in reviews & obvious drop in review content quality.
Situation's got so bad that nowadays I prefer even PhoneArena over you, and that's saying something.

The battery result taking a hit is likely due to exynos compared to Snapdragon, as the display is actually more efficient. The North American versions of the S24+ appear to exceed or match the endurance of the S23+.

I need my phone to function as a phone and the apps to just work. Android phones come with a lot of caveats beside selling your date to multiple corporations.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2024Except ppl that read about tech, rest has no idea what is i... moreA lot of people still naturally see the headline features of flagship phones on TV commercials, on those little spec sheets placed right next to demo units or on manufacturer/carrier websites. Even if they don't understand what those specs exactly imply, the name "Snapdragon" becomes naturally ingrained into people's minds as they see more of them.
Many manufacturers avoided using Mediatek SoCs in the past because they used to be indeed inferior to their Snapdragon counterparts, so simply saying "We're using Dimensity for our highest-end offering this year because they are now at least just as good as Snapdragon" wouldn't sound very convincing to many of its potential buyers, because they just don't know what the name "Dimensity" even implies.
Also, as I already said, Snapdragon has a certain edge over Dimensity when it comes to modem performance as well as the resulting network speed, which would be probably a bit more noticeable than the performance difference between already super-fast CPU/GPUs on both chips for most people.
"Anyway, these chips have more power than necessary"
In case you don't know, just because you don't have a power-intensive app on your phone, that doesn't mean other people also don't or shouldn't use one. Those people who truly want a high-performance level on a phone - have the option to get such devices. For instance, SD 7g1 is probably fast enough for most people, but there are situations where the current SD8g3/D9300 powered devices will absolutely crush it (e.g. When playing heavy 3D games, exporting photos/videos).
