David 040882, 23 Feb 2024All right, time to take your bets people. 1. Who'... moreThere is no x7 ultra review until oppo sends update to fix camera that again is inferior compared to phones with smaller hardware.
Be sure review of xiaomi ultra to be out first.

I initially thought that Xiaomi in particular must have issues with optimising its MediaTek models, but then I observed that its Qualcomm models suffered the same fate. However, my Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has excellent battery life. While I obviously don't run formal tests on it, I would have expected I'd notice poor battery life, and I haven't.

PureOS, 23 Feb 2024Just get Poco x6 pro instead, if Xiaomi is a must. Why the Poco X6 Pro over this? Are you thinking purely from a performance perspective? The camera on the X6 can't compete with this model.

All right, time to take your bets people.

            1. Who's betting that the next review will be the Z60 Ultra's?

            2. Who's betting that the next review will be the Find X7 Ultra's?

            3. Who's betting that it'll be neither of them?

I for one, cast my vote/bet for the third option

"we saved the most interesting one for last"

I hope you're referring to the review alone, because the most interesting Note 13 model this year was the 13 Pro 5G. Better priced and more balanced compared to its competitors.

This will become a better deal than it is right now once it drops around ~330 USD.

It amazes me how they couldn't achive a good 4x crop from 200 megapixels..

David 040882, 23 Feb 2024That was a hands-on review, this is the full oneI know that. In the past, gsmarena has done reviews just in USA, India and not at their main location.

Anyways, I was referring to the photos taken outside not lab conditions.

Just get Poco x6 pro instead, if Xiaomi is a must.

MiUi is more harmful to battery than politicians to citizens.

I am happy that you re-did the review. The prior review in New Delhi(?) gave the impression that the camera is terrible(purple fringing). I suspected that it was due to haze. The photos in this review confirm that and the sensor is quite capable in clean air conditions.

There are image processing algorithms to remove purple fringing & haze. Not sure how Xiaomi tuned them. Also, UV filter glass over the lenses also help.
