Most days most people do different things. One day I am on the phone for long calls. The nex for long gaming sessions. The next watching youtub videos. Never ever is it so segmented on a day like they have

      Any Xiaomi phones with MIUI or HyperOS, at first hand, you will expect that the battery life gets bad rating. Again at first hand bought from Xiaomi store.

      Someone say it is the same situation there, then after a weeks or so, the battery gets longer than the worst from the first day.

In my country the difference is less than $20 between the X6 and this model. So a no-brainer when the Redmi has a far better camera. Maybe in other countries the X6 is indeed a better option, if the price difference is bigger.

My comment can be deleted by GSMArena because I have said this several times.

                      Nice phone, except battery life... Since SoC is becoming more and more powerful in mid range phones and resolutions are getting higher, it's time for brands to make LTPO for mid range which can help with GSMArena testing.

                        We live in an era where 500 for a mid range Redmi is considered competitive pricing....

                          I know Pixel 7a is worse than this phone but.

                          I rather get that at 390 euro instead of this at 450, the fact Xiaomi does ads on a 450 euro phone is ridiculous (even while you can turn them off, and before someone starts about never seeing them, they are region based so not every country sees them or in same amount)

                          Or just a older flagship, plenty of good 2023 phones for that money or less.

                            Wow 4.3. So this is as good as the flagship Iqoo 12 and better than the Realme gt5 pro for a lot less money

Just with normal use (browsing, texting, the odd video), I find the battery drops at a similar rate to my Pixel 6a, which has excellent battery life.

You can't measure SoT on MIUI anymore but with third party apps I've measured 8-10 hours of screen time, and this is with 120hz all the time. With the previous 12 Pro 5G I never had such good battery backup. With 60hz I think I could get 10-12 hours.

                                        I think the inherent flaw on GSMarena tests is that they have so little time to test the phones that the OS never settles accordingly. Android takes a while to adjust to your usage and needs some proper charging cycles to optimize fully. You can read about this by learning about the ART dexopt process.
