Honor Magic6 Pro review

Does it have any sort of macro mode? And what's the max zoom? I'm accustomed to using macro mode and 20-30x zoom on my Mate 50 Pro.

Lol, they dont even have to try hard with nightmode, well, besides ultrawide.
This hw is ridiculous, at 1x or 2.5x you get full detail even at night, no detail lost by hi iso.
    Awesome bokeh on top.
    Truly magical.

Just bought this phone on Friday. For 780 euros it came with Case, charger, watch and earbuds. Thus far everything is great. I haven't tested the camera much yet but everything i do is extremely smooth and fast. My apps do not die in the background like they used to on my old Huawei mate 20 and the i actually liked the slightly curved panel. Battery is amazing, been using few hours today and it's at 73%. Sound is pretty good for a phone and face unlock works greats. Encountered a small bug in app drawer described well in reddit, when you add a work profile and scroll through your apps there is an "empty" space at the top of the screen. Thus far this is my only complaint and it's already addressed with Honor, so i expect them to fix it in future patch.

I literally said that in my previous comment. If you've been in this smartphone nerds community for long enough, you'd know that; it's common knowledge at this point. But clearly, you haven't. So I say again, their reviews are good, but their rankings are not at all. At least in the camera department.

They might easily get payed by companies so that they hive their smartphone a high rating. Like, isn't it weird how the Magic 6 Pro achieved a score by one point over the Mate 60 Pro, when the Magic 6 Pro had some slight disappointments in the camera department? Or how the Mi 11 Ultra has a higher score than the 12S Ultra in the camera department. Their rankings are untrustworthy, really. Their reviews are good, though

Zoom to 2.5x only is big downgrade,
Xiaomi 14 more compact , cameras are better

So it is optical instead of ultrasonic like Magic 4 pro?

Their history in this regard assures of excellent performance regarding the cameras. And as for the iPhone, I know it's overrated and all, but it's true that it is more consistent and more dependable overall than vivo's cameras. And I mean everyone knows very well that the video category is won over by the iPhone

Inedian, 11 Mar 2024Which is better cameraphone? These days, there's hardly one that it's the best. But I would argue that the Mate 60 Pro/Pro+, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, iPhone 15 Pro Max (as in video and overall dependability and consistency), and the Oppo Find X7 Ultra are slightly better than the X100 Pro. But it's debatable and since cameras on phones these days are getting so good, it resolves to pure preference. Some might like the images a certain phone takes, while others might prefer another smartphones outputs

David 040882, 04 Mar 2024Nah it's definitely excellent, but the best for sure. Which is better cameraphone?

That's why most of the time I shot in RAW when I want to shoot artistic photos. But since I have bought a flagship Huawei phone, I rarely use the RAW mode. Because the color science, detail, depths and every other single things of the Huawei phones camera nails other phones.

I can notice in the close-up main cam shots that there's a slight blurriness at f/1.4. Would recommend stopping down to 2 if you want the sharpest image, for close-up shots at least.

JSK888, 06 Mar 2024"The best" only in automatic mode. If you shoot i... moreYes there's no difference in the color science, but shooting in RAW is where sensor size and MP count matter the most. Shooting on a 1" type with relatively high MP count (e.g. 50MP) would result in the best looking photos even for RAW.

Xiaomi and Vivo offer a better image sensor. Forget SOOC images for the moment. These have type 1 sensors with a crop factor of 2.7 which means can gather more light. No need for oversharpening or aggressive AI causing. Zeiss and Leica would not put their name to underdog setup.

Personally I think the fokeh and computational photography is a bit of a cop out. Whilst the Chinese phones aren't miles apart the use of optics to create depth will always be better than faked blurring.

Iphone offers better image quality than Samsung imo although I'm not buying into the Apple ecosystem.
