Cant the youtube problem be solved by a third part app? i mean, isnt that the beauty of the window's mobile OS, that anyone can develop applications for it? and does anyone have a good site full of WM6 Applications, i want to see some of the availible apps. Thanks

They have updated the review with a whole new chapter on playing YouTube video on the Omnia. To put it shortly - it doesn't play them.

isnt there any youtube client for WM6 that doenst require the FL3?
N95 just got FL3 in its last firmware update, before that there were several clients that download the .flv from youtube and play without problem.

Does the backcover consist of Aluminum?Based on the latest review (The whole nine yards), I don't think the back is made of aluminum. Under design and construction (2) you can see the back of it. It looks like it is made of plastic.
Maybe I'm wrong because I haven't seen the Omnia yet, but my impression is that the back is made of plastic.

I would be inclined to agree to a certain degree, but I would say that not having tested the phone, and not having tried to install any programs, I should maybe reserve judgement until I have.
I'm gonna get this phone as soon as it comes out in the UK and no doubt I'll be sharing my experiences on here.
Bottom line is, surely Samsung couldn't make such a catastrophic balls-up and I would expect the Omnia will be able to cope with most programs with a 320x240 resolution.
The flash issues aren't really a problem to me as I don't do a great deal of web browsing. Although I guess its a disaster for all the youtubers out there........

You can't fully display an internet page with flash player
You can't install any Prog on the windows mobile cuz of resolution issue
SO I can't get
WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF THE WINDOWS MOBILE !
it feels like we have a very good SOFTWARE and an Awesome HARDWARE but with stupid chemistry in between ! Share your opinions plz

totti, 28 Jul 2008please i whant to buy this phone but i have some cuestions(... moreCurrently Skype doesn't run on Windows Mobile 6.1 devices. You can always use Fring as a substitute for the time being.
I'm not sure whether it would have compatibility issues with the Omnia widescreen display, but no one can test that either as it can't be run.
The Omnia runs fine with Route66 and Nav N Go iGo 8, so my guess is TomTom would run just as fine.

You just have to hope that either Opera or Samsung come up with it and deliver it through an update. (Or hope for adobe to release it for public download, but that's rather unlikely at the moment)
widescreens aren't that common with windows mobile devices. so a lot of software doesn't support widescreen resolution and simply won't work or won't display properly.

please i whant to buy this phone but i have some cuestions(and i google a lot!) and dont have find the answere:
1) is skype compatible whit this phone(because of the resolution)
2) is tomtom compatible(because of the resolution)(i think that the 7.45 or something like that is compatible, can someone confirm me this)
i ask these cuestions, because i have read in a couple of forums that a lot of programs are having probles whit this phone.
