I think Xiaomi should develop a separate OS for their premium devices.
Entry levels devices having an iOS-like Android skin is no biggie, most broke people are dreaming of an iPhone anyway, so it just works for them.
But for us, Android enthusiasts, having a poor men's iOS on our €1499 flagship ?
This isn't gonna fly.

2x/3.2x sample... moreThat is weird with that 1x samples from the gallery here. I got mine like week ago and when I compare that with S23U details are much, much better on Xioami.
I don't like one thing that is common between all Android brands. You have to choose whether you would like to have fully processed JPG or a good DNG. Because in PRO modes in both Xiaomi and Samsung, if you turn on DNG (so you shot JPG + DNG) quality of the JPG drops. Why? Why I have to choose and cannon have both, like it is in GCAM?

Weirdly, 1x samples are blurry and dirty.
2x/3.2x samples look much sharper.
GSMArena, what happened to the Camera compare tool? You've stopped taking sample shots :-(

Now it is 1500 for only the phone or maybe 1350 for students; no photo grip added.
The first price was reasonable. Use your own judgment on the new price.

You failed to mention overheating issues that are plaguing the Ultra, and it's for sure one of the culprits for below-average battery life (for a 2024 flagship).
4.5 is a fair grade, it was the 4.8 grade for 13 ultra that was highly exaggerated.

Therefore, they are comparing it to this year's flagships. The Xiaomi 13 ultra would have been compared to last year's flagships. Also, when reviewed the Xiaomi 13 ultra was reviewed under their old battery test.

It's an excellent flagship from Xiaomi with one of the best camera setups. At the same time, similar to the Samsung S24 ultra it is not a big upgrade from the previous version. The biggest upgrade I think is the design and the removal of the bump on the back of the 13 ultra. It's hard to improve much on the main camera but I think they could improve at least some of the additional sensors in the next model. The 3.2x is quite a bit behind Oppo's 2.8x imx890 in sensor quality but also in real world performance in weaker light conditions in terms of photos and videos. Also the ultrawide is average for this class. You guys haven't reviewed the nubia z60 ultra yet but that one probably has the best ultrawide on the market albeit not that wide. Rumours suggest they will make bigger camera hardware improvements next year on the 15 ultra. For the initial offers though available with freebies and coupon's I think this was a very good deal. For those who wanted this phone getting it on the pre-sale deal was definitely the way to go.

Samsung is way ahead of xiaomi in terms of real world usage spec. Those high watt charging does not matter at all when boils down to actual usage and waiting to heat dissipation time. That lousy xiaomi 14 ultra phone still uses legacy optical fingerprint scanner, 10 second delay on unsecure apk and locking the phone via powerbutton will turn off an on torchlight!
